Coach Benji 👑

It just compounds the sheer brilliance that HBG inflicted upon the WT football club and it's supporters with their knee jerk 4 year extension of the coach to try and keep harmony after they destroyed the independent board and CEO.
Complete wreckers and imbeciles who hold all the power in the club with zero accountability.I loath them collectively even if 1 or 2 are trying to turn the tide to no avail.
Very well said and agree with you 100 percent. I am getting to the stage now I am not even getting mad how inept we are on the football field, Im actually numb now the way this club is run and perform. My friends just feel sorry for me now..

That's great for the dinosaurs that follow either team from last century. What about the rest of us who only follow Wests Tigers? The kids who see Skando, Hodgo, Benji, Fulton, Ellis as "tigers greats", not the ones with links to WSM and BT? There's a LOT of Wests Tigers fans who would probably walk away ...

But at least it would stop the sooking from both old teams.

I am sick to death of this stupid whinging and moaning about two teams that don't function in the NRL, all while destroying a current NRL team. It's beyond stupid!

Man! I need a coffee!!!

All in all, I'd rather your proposal than 27 more years of too much orange, we own you, Leichhardt is the magic potion, and Ben Elias and Blocker being called Wests Tigers *legends* 🙄🙄🙄

I'm so ready to walk away
@Suzie-Q I would give you 1000 x 👍 if i could

We will never see any kind of success under this mob

I genuinely think these guys secretly love it this way. The wests lunatics love the whole identity of a battling club , plus they the idea of driving the tigers into a distressed asset , so they can’t rebrand .
Forgetting that literally at most that’s probably less than 1000 people who would support that . That in itself would destroy the joint venture , both as an entity and as, but also the actual license .
And the Balmain guys …. Please spare me . You didn’t win shit . We lost 2 gfs in a row 36 years ago . You failed as well , so we can stop with this holier than thou - Balmain equals excellence rhetoric . Because I distinctly remember being a kid having to sift through Balmain squads with Ben duckworth , mick Gillette , laloa Milford , and behaving like these guys were elite . When they clearly weren’t . ( they’re all legends in my eyes though ) . So the 90s leading up to the merger was below mediocre for Balmain as well .
The fact we went from a board of 40-60 year olds across diverse industries like finance , politics , corporate management and sports management to once again a board filled with geriatrics from a pokies den …. And that’s the holistic changes the club needed ? On what planet .
Don’t get me wrong though , I genuinely think HBG has sweet FA this season to do with the players underperforming . That’s all factional bullshit , racial undercurrents , and general power manouvering with the squad .
I’ve said it before, only a complete regeneration of the leadership group and coaching structures aRound Benji will Change our culture . Simply put the old guys unfortunately have a “here we go again demeanour when we lose , which infects the squad . It leads to bickering. Loss of focus , and lack of accountability both individually and as a club .
Benjis gravitas and aura can only go so far , ultimately on the field the leadership group have to lead . And as Gordon Tallis said , you’re not much of a leader if no one will follow you . Which is outside Api exactly where the vacuum is currently at our club . The talent is there , just the wrong voices to guide them .

Hope I have enough years left to see some improvement lol

A top 8 finish shouldn’t be too much to ask for after 15 years. If you go that long, and you are still playing like you are at least two or three years off, something is seriously broken.

Do we really know the whole story when it comes to what it’s like to be a WTs coach?

Does Benji deserve some leeway when you consider he would not have the resources of the other clubs? We are talking millions of dollars worth of less support.

Is it any wonder the only coach to succeed was an ‘elite’ coach. And not Madge, he’s a ‘flat track’ type of guy.

And maybe Benji is the right guy because he has passion for the club and is willing to work with less resources.

And maybe we can’t get better assistant coaches because we can’t afford them?

Wonder what the CEO would say about this?

If benji is working with less resources than other nrl clubs, shouldnt this be addressed by the owners who just threw money at a women's a league side on the central coast?

Somehow Benji needs to get this team up for the last 4 games.
They need to show some ticker.
The ones I can’t criticise are Api, Luai, Samuela and Pole. Sure Doueihi’s having a crack, but he’s playing for himself.
What other half in the NRL handles the ball 65 times, but passes only 39?
The support play is almost nonexistent. Many of the passes are only 1 or 2 wide.
I’ve just had enough of the crap dished up by the entire organisation.
This is not a football team, it’s more like the old girls line dancing class.
It’s your move Benji. Give them something to chase.

Who would you want to see walk? I think Bula is on stupid overs. Luai also but he is already on his way out. There's a few others I'd like out of the joint but none others I think on massive overs (I think Averillo will prove to be also but don't want to write him off before he gets here).
A couple others are to much for what they have given but probably accurate for their talent level (Latu, Makasini) though I think we've stuffed them more than they've stuffed us.
Terrell May for starters. He’s been beyond soft. I personally don’t want AD here but I think AD is more likely to stay if Benji isn’t coach 🤣. I wouldn’t care if Bula left at this stage and agree re Latu and Makasini.

Without Terrell we get the spoon last year.
Started strong this year then went to crap after Luai announced PNG.
Blows my mind how much people undervalue the work he has done for us.

Have you seen his defence? Honestly it’s putrid.

I don’t care that he played well for 7 weeks. He constantly stunts our attack as a fourth tackle hit-up merchant, can’t roll up the sleeves and win the ruck and has atrocious lateral movement.

Add to that he’s poor and soft in contact. He’s not worth $300,000 on current form let alone the $800,000 we’re reportedly paying him.

In the history of rugby league has there ever been this level of despair exhibited by a team’s supporter base other than the Wests Tigers? I’ve been following rugby league since the mid 1960s and I don’t think I have witnessed anything like the sadness and resignation about a team like we see now. I guess it’s possible that technology and the overload of media we have these days highlights it a lot more than in previous decades.

In other codes maybe. Essendon would come close currently. They haven’t won a final since 2004.

The last time we made finals, Uber Eats and Door Dash didn’t exist and streaming was a bonus feature that came with your Netflix subscription.
