Coach Benji 👑

There is ZERO chance (infinitely less than Zero)
he accepts a demotion or re-structure of his position of any kind.
Ego is not a dirty word, not convinced a suggested position in recruitment would work better than the players he attracts as coach.

For Benji is it heading to a crossroads moment, ride or die, another season of poor results next year could have a lot pointing the finger.

Time to deliver.

Is it as easy as implementing the idiom: money, money changes everything, over to you HBG cough up our give up.
Holbrook gets sacked from the Titans another club that has struggled to climb the ladder and then also fails under Hasler .Hannay does his apprenticeship under Fitzgibbon considered a good young coach - with some real talent in the Titans squad - zero impression on their standing this year. Holbrook quite possibly coach of the year at his new club with some exceptional talent.
All can coach but very hard to change the output of a struggling club.

Track record of the Titans is woeful, calibre of talent they've had over the years it's hard to believe they can't improve, maybe the holiday destination is in the brickwork.

Our roster is on the improve but needs to keep getting the inflows of talent, be it from outside or within in positions that need strengthening, if Benji is canned attracting and holding talent could slow again to a trickle and produce the spoon years.

If the roster keeps on improving our fortunes have to change eventually, when is the unknown, as long as it takes.

If you read the earlier post from Jolls regarding attitude and desire being a key ingredient to winning, then the Titans are a perfect example of a team that has a good enough group of players but is in an environment and has a culture that distracts from their focus. They are huge underperformers.

I did read it what's your point, I described them as a holiday destination, wouldn't that crudely agree with Jolls opinions, there's obviously something very wrong in that joint.

Wasn’t making a point contrary to your post - actually agreeing with it and aligning your suggestion that their location seems to be a distraction, to what Jolls was posting about the importance of attitude and intent. Titans often do seem to play like they’re on holiday.
(The opening of my reply to your post was not meant to be accusatory RHS).

Latu and Andrews,,, madden cannot tackle
Anyone who thinks it’s a good idea to start these two from round 1 has rocks in their head. You can’t start a season with two halves that aren’t established first graders. One of them for sure, Latu. But Andrews has to bide his time. His time will come soon enough with Latu being made of glass.

Watched a replay of westst game against the cows at the start of the season. Wow! Before all our injuries the boys were playing great football. KPP was fantastic, in both attack and defence. Same for AD. May was enormous in the front row. (What happened to him?). Turuva, Makisini, JL was terrific. Benji had them really humming. My takeaway was that Benji can coach and our players can play. Barring injuries, we will go ok next year.
May in the forwards is being burnt out. A guy can only use his body as a battering ram for so long before it starts breaking down and getting fatigued. If you want the best Terrell May you can get, he plays 55 - 60 minutes a week. Not
75 - 80. His body is cooked by round 10.

Benji is known by every rugby league follower and;
1. Can attract players
2 Looks good on camera.
3. Speaks well.
BUT; as a coach there seems to be something lacking. How long do we persist with his L plates.
I think this was shown by the way he handled the Doueihi saga and Luai jumping ship.
IMO he is great for the club,
but needs to be moved sideways, into a recruitment capacity somewhere; with all due respect to his efforts thus far.
Well said and I totally and utterly agree, but could you imagine him standing aside, his ego is way way too big to allow that to happen. I believe Shaun is staring to realise this, hence why he is not involved in first round of assistant coach talks..He has had way way too much power and were going backwards. I believe if fortunes dont change by the middle of next year the club may have to bite the bullet and part ways and pay him a million a year he has left on this ridiculous bad contract

Is that what he’s one. Wow, how do you justify that as a rookie coach ? I’d have him on a reasonable standard wage plus performance bonus, maybe paid quarterly, take it or leave it until you prove yourself !
Only pay on results not reputation !

With the beloved owners of the club, the HBG in their infinite wisdom when they removed the board on Richo, the club was imploding again, they decided for a bit of stability and add an extra 3 years a million a year with not one clause on being removed from the position of head coach, only we could do that!! embarressing is what it is
