gee I get so tired of the bleeding hearts on here, its not potters team its sheens team , oh its such a young team. hes the coach its his job to get the players he has to do a job, if they are not able to do that job thats fine then drop them, don't keep picking them. but I watch all the games and I see no structure to our attack at all we have gone backwards all season. and I don't care what team u put out they should have some defence structure , for 16 rounds we have watched while they continue to make under 15 year old mistakes in defence, yet nothing changes, hes the coach, either fix it or leave.

Have you got any idea how hard it is when you are having to change your defensive structure week after week after week ??

I'm guessing you don't or you wouldn't have made the comment

the people in the team may change but principle stays the same, why do u make it out be something that its not.

Well we can rule out a big name signing as the club just can't afford it.

I'm happy with Potter for at least one more year.

The only guy I think I'd perfer is Rick Stone. He might be looking to get out of Newcastle and he actually did a better job there than Bennett.

Are you the club burser?

Potter is on 250k and even Sheens was on 450k. Compare that to Bennett, Bellamy and the like who are earning up to and beyond a mil a season. It's well documented that the club isn't strong financially.

The problem we face is not a coaching issue but a roster issue and their is no quick fix, it takes time, time for players to go from rookies to seasoned 1st graders, and time to attract the right player for the right position. We are at least two years of a lot of very hard work and clever recruitment from being a top five team.
You just cant change your coach every couple of year

Rubbish, Potter is in charge and the buck stops with him. If his staff and players are letting him down than make changes ( he did with assistants this yr) and unluckily for him he cant do a lot with the injuries (except for Lawrence) we are not a club that can wait or afford another 2 - 3 yrs to make the semis. We need a coach that has the players faith and from what i heard from more than 1 of the current players last night, he unfortunately doesn't have their faith!!!!

i will not name them because i believe they were at least good enough to be honest with myself and a few others last night.

What he said.

Well if we have players in this club that have no faith in the coach it is unfortunate that they hide under a rock.
Why don't they come out and say in public what they think - I bet they have not told Mick what they think.

They should be weeded out and sacked. It is no place to have people not giving their best and if they have no faith they are not giving their best. Probably half the problem.

As for Brian Smith or Walters - you would be joking.

There is no one available better than Potter, and maybe for once show a bit of loyalty and stick with the guy so he can reap the rewards after doing the dirty work.

I'll say it again - nobody has any patience - if you want instant success which most of you seem to - you will go through coaches like Epsom salts.

Give the guy a go for God sake!!!!

So what your trying to say is that every club plays the same

So you'd spend a day watching videos alone seeing all the variations of plays , which players step of which foot depending whether they are left or right side

Then a day running those plays at the boys to get them ready , they may find that they might run different defensive options

It isn't as easy as it all sounds , its not a matter of " lets get out there and hammer them off the park" and hasn't been for a long time

If the club want to punt Potter they will look at where we finish on the table(assuming we miss the 8) and offer that as the reason for his sacking… If the club is fair dinkum they will take into account the massive injury toll to our key players and recurring ones at that; they will take into account the development of our new and young players (Tapau , Gavet, brooks, woods etc) and the change in culture this year for the better... If they look at Potter from this perspective they will offer him a new deal. For me I won't be surprised if they let Potter go( sack him ) we have a very knee jerk, reactive board and CEO who can't see the woods from the trees..

I can see the players point of view, the same players make the same mistakes every week and still get picked, even allowing for the injuries there has to accountability, and we don't and never have had any.

Potter two year extension only way to go.

The only player with any sway is Farah. He will have the greatest say into who is coach and I get the feeling he is 100% behind Potter and the change in culture he is instilling. Chatter from any other player should be disregarded. Story is a beatup.
