Coach Mick Potter to punt on Miller as halfback

Meaney is my tip for fullback, Tedesco to take it slowly and Moltzen our backup 7 in State Cup.

Lote & Marika on the wings

Meaney had a great game in the grand final and is also a natural leader on and off the field.
If you watch the interview on the official website you can easily see what type of guy he is.
To be honest I have my doubts if Miller will cut it long term.
Every time I watched NYC last year I looked for that 'something special' but he didn't seem to have any consistency to his game.
Hope I'm proved wrong but look for every pack to run non stop straight at (and over?) him and Marshall in the early games.

Miller will be a star. He has all the hall marks of a great ie in Attack and Defense.

Lets remember his age.

He will need a year or 2 to meet our expectations.

yeah I think Moltzen has plenty of talent but we've got better options at every position and I can't see him playing first grade besides through injuries

what happens then, would he ask for a release if he spends a whole year in reserves? Off to the Sharks?

another interesting question, what will happen if he does end up starting the year at say, fullback? Will people resume the cries of 'Benji is running the team' etc?

Trial form will dictate I would assume.

Like every other player he deserves a chance outside the Sheens system to show what he can do

Smeg Interested to see if and where you think Simona might fit into the picture

miller deserves a shot and i think potter will give him enough time to show if he has what it takes in the top grade , i think meany may sneak in and get first crack at fullback , just a feeling ,

robbie and anasta in the pack ,miller feeding , but who will be our run on pack ?

It is hard.

He may be looking at a centre berth, his form at fullback has been really patchy through the 2012 season.

So hard to know without trial form on the board

Really hoping Potter follows trial form also , but want to see him get major game time with the spine working together

Thanks for the feedback Smeg

The backline is taking shape with Miller now the favorite to start the year at 7\. I still wouldn't discount Tedesco from starting the year at fullback, but only if he blitzes it in the trials, otherwise whoever performs strongest in the trials should get the chance. If Lote officially signs on for this year I echo Smeg's comments and believe it will be he and Koroibete on the wings.

Miller @ 7 ….Finally someone who can kick field goals in the starting 13.......I agree with Smeg , Meaney to start at Fullback in Round 1, a tough fullback with some mongrel in him

Meaney or Moltzen to start the year at FB I don't really have a preference as I believe Tedesco has it all over both of them if/when he's fully fit.

Just a point ,Tedesco only had a arthroscope which he should completely over already

If he is mentally right ,he should be the first fullback picked Round 1He is the only true fullback at the club

Tedesco returning through NYC is starting to look more likely if the article is correct. Not necessarily a bad thing, just as long as he isn't overlooked for too long.

Moltzen is a mystery for the future though, just where is he going to fit in to the puzzle once we get Teddy back? He never really showed any promise as a utility or a centre.

Yeah, but Meaney? You have a guy whose played about 10 fg games in 2 or 3 yrs in a leadership group ahead of guys like Galloway, Lote, Fulton and even Ayshford? maybe its because its 2 o'clock in the morning but that makes completely no sense at all

I've got this bad feeling Fulton won't be in the starting side ,possibly not even in the starting 17

You reckon? I've got no mail, but I'd be willing to bet everything I have that barring injury Fulton will be in the 17 for the entire year.

Hard to disagree there LaT. Why would you drop one of the two standout forwards in 2012? Most importantly, he's versatile and adds starch to our defence on the fringes. It's madness not to have him in the team.
