The current situation with the wests tigers has rekindled some similarities with past Magpie sides.
John Bailey was coach of the reserve grade side when laurie Frier got the spear.Bailey inherited a reasonable side with players like Lindner,Henjak Britt and young guns like Jason Taylor and Jamie Ainscough coming through.
I thought Bailey was doing a good job,similar to Michael Potter 2013-14.
The knives were out for Bailey half way through the year with moves to get Warren Ryan to the club.The 91 side started the season well but finished the season poorly.Bailey left and was never heard of again.
Consequently,1992 was a good year for the whole club,winning the club championship.
So will history repeat itself.
Like all supporters,I hope it gets resolved soon.
