@gallagher What about a massive marque signing. Like a real superstar, someone we're paying $1m for and someone worth it. Someone the players really look up to as being elite. Maybe then players will think if that person wants to play for us and stay here, they will too??

And I have no idea who fits that description, but I'm thinking we need something desperate to break this cycle. The board aren't going to help, they just buckle. I don't see what any current players can do. i don't see what signing good young up and comers will do, if they make it big they will just leave too.

Why not bring things to a head by making it crystal clear to Matterson and his agent that he won't be playing any place other than Wests Tigers for the next 2 years. A lot can happen in that 2 years. He might even come to love playing for us.

I wanna know if the profit is after leagues club grant. Because clubs with leagues club support usually post their figures not including the club grant.

Huge giveaway in the Madge interview. Some of you will laugh at this but it’s used widely and heavily: when Madge commented on Matterson’s Strong contribution to the team he involuntarily scratched around his left eye - sure sign that he was not saying it as he really sees it. Believe it or don’t believe it, up to you. Made me think this is a serious issue and Madge is perhaps not real happy with him.

I'd simply state to Matterson, we'd love him to keep playing with us for the agreed value and time of his contract. If he does feel like he doesn't like the game anymore he is welcome to take a leave of absence in the off-season and find his passion again. If its not what he signed up for with Cleary ask him to show where in the contract we are missing something. If he wants out to play elsewhere, ask him who and where and then tell him he will be playing reserves at WT for the next 2 years. No ifs and buts. If it is found his manager and the other club have been going behind WT back, even for his poor mental health and fragility, sue both of them and Matterson.

No prisoners.................. WT doormats way too long.
