@2005magic I understand your point but that's not feasible or realistic. As I understand it we have players in the club who are managed by the Orrs. What do we do with them when their contracts are up, tell them to go?

Well, we have given up on the NRL actually taking a stand over the managers. As I understand it havent Roosters declared out a particular manager and will no longer deal with them?

If Matterson stays the full term it isn't in his interest to turn his toes up

He would lose all his negotiating power

He will still perform , he just won't want to be here

That's normal for over half the population.
Nobody really wants to be at work. I don't like my company but it's high paying.
I'm here for the money only.

Yep work is that bad that they have to pay you to do it

@2005magic It was rumoured at the time that Nick Politis had declared he wouldn't deal with Isaac Moses again after Mitchell Moses reneged on a deal with Easts. If that was true Politis changed his mind pretty quick when he signed Tedesco. I doubt that Politis ever vetoed Moses but I'll bet he gave him a good spray.

G'day @tigeress: A 100% spot-on AND SENSIBLE suggestion, about which I could not agree more with you if I tried.

Obviously, Ryan Matterson was a player we needed to keep, to build our team around.

Yes, we certainly need a full investigation into why we aren't keeping him, and for all Wests Tigers fans to be told what that reason is.

Mitchell Moses had a falling out with Brad Arthur last year, but they were apparently able to work things out, and look at what the Eels and Moses achieved this year.

I don't like to say it, but I feel there is something very wrong somewhere, in our club. Have a great day tigeress :fa-smile-o:

Really hope the club comes out of this with a good result for the team. This wont be the last article to try to force the clubs hand into releasing Matterson with a player manager fabricated story. But the general public is backing the club in this one so we should not fold.

Even though looking unlikely I personally wouldn't be against him staying on his current contract and possibly revisit it next season. I would love to say ditch the manager but this would only hurt us in the long term.

If he does leave we must get **current** rep quality player in return.

As a club, we should say from now on, no further signings will take place for players managed by Orr. That's a suitable stand to take.

Moses, Ayoub and Orr. Running out of managers we can negotiate with.

I think Ayoub, whilst a grub, is still on good terms with the WT, thanks to Robbie....

Well if there is something wrong with our club, the Orr brothers are happy for Luke Garner and hopefully Alex Twal to stay at the club. One cannot but think this is all about $. If the Orr brothers consider WTs to be a stepping stone for bigger $ for their clients, they should have no difficulty find two outstanding talents to compensate WTs for the loss of Matterson.

Probably a ton of deals all depending on Ben being medically retired or not...

If Ben is, we will have Matterson's contract AND Ben's salary cap room to absorb a few new players.

Tons riding on the decision I'd imagine...

A decision on Mats medical retirement is due this week.....

Dunno why but I first read this as Matterson’s medical retirement and I started to wonder which forumer knee capped him.

Minichello "dealt" with Moses.

Pfft.

Tedesco .....not Moses

I think he means Isaac Moses, not Mitchell

Dylan Brown is an interesting name on that list. Before the 2019 season started, apparently the Warriors had somehow lodged a million dollar offer to him when they were legally not allowed to do so. More murky water with this management agency.

Looks like bottom feeding. A bunch of school kids and blokes on the lower level of NRL contracts. Can't imagine too many 3rd party deals coming through that management group

There is a few in there worthy. JT the obvious one. Wishful thinking.

Twal managed to get a Mazda 3rd party deal with AMR Mazda through the Orr scumbags.

First bloke ever medically retired from carpet burn on his elbows.

Posted full article in the Q&A topic but found this worth mentioning here.

Matterson’s shock request for a release has not progressed. The backrower was on the cusp of playing Origin but his push to leave lost him plenty of support amongst the Tigers players
