Surprised Funaki is eligible for NSW, hope he can snare a spot in firsts this year. Also I think woulds is capeable of playing Origin for both 20's and NRL this year, he will have a standout season.

God no, haven't seen him play much, I meant Lodge haha sorry

matt lodge… origin in 2015?

hes good but no sane coach will play him with 10-15 games under his belt at 20-21 years of age.

gotta be joking, unless the bus carrying the forwards to coffs harbour crashes that aint happening.

Big call regarding origin…

Maybe someday.

How good is Lodge though...
Funaki also looks the goods.

Excited for the future if we can keep all these young guns.

Souths took Liam Coleman to the USA with them for their training camp there, highly thought of apparently - he played against Bailey Sirro a lot

The Props for Origin next year for the Blues ? Gallen , Woods , Tamou , you would think 2 of those starting being Gallen for sure and one of those on the bench , providing injuries are kind to them .
Daley will show a bit of loyalty towards these guys as they were in the team this year and they won the Series so i don't expect a lot of changes to happen , Tamou has a Neck worry at the moment so we will see how he recuperates from that .
I can see Lodge getting a City spot at worst from the Bench , he's time will come he is only a baby.

God - Tamou! That guy shouldn't get within a bull's roar of any SOO team again. He's an absolute liabiltiy.

Throw Klemmer in the mix there too.

I'm not sure that Lodge has even made 100 tackles in the NRL yet. He might turn out to be a great player but I'm not going to expect the world of him in 2015.

I agree , it's not what i would pick but Laurie Daley will pick him .

Woods will be there. Where they play Gallen will depend on how the other props perform, he prefers playing lock. Klemmer will 100% be in origin if fit. Tamou will need to have a great start to the season to keep his spot. Fifita will want to have a strong season to get back there too.

Lodge would be 100/1 to play.

Yeah i forgot about Fifita , he has to be there . If he wasn't injured this year during the Origin series he would of been there.
Tamou will take a while to get going next year with his neck issues he has .

2015 will probably come too soon for Lodge in regards to Origin, but City should be a definite.

Remember people he's still only 19, doesn't turn 20 until next May! He's a beast. He's eligible for another year of NYC next year but he outgrew that comp last year while he was still only 18-19.

He's younger than Brooks and is the youngest member of the full time top 25 NRL squad i think. His 30 hitups and 40 tackles for the Junior Kangaroos wouldn't have gone unnoticed though.

Funaki is equally young and can still play NYC this year. He's got more development to do though but is a skilful and intelligent player.

Hopefully Woods is fully fit and able to have a full off season as once he fills out he could be quite the backrower…

He was very impressive for the junior Roos against a massive Kiwis team.
