You're joking! What are we hoping to do with him?! Why does he want to come here?! Are the Roosters prepared to release him?! What about Tui?! What's going on?! This doesn't make any sense! I'm so confused!

Tigers made the initial enquiry when the Moses saga started whether tigers are still interested we are about to find out but nothing wrong with depth and having competition for positions imo

Any updates on Guerra? It's been a while since you informed us we'd made an offer so assuming he's headed elsewhere?

I'm definitely not opposed to having Watson at the club but, I just don't understand why he would want to come to a team that already has their spine sorted for next year. If he's chasing a guaranteed starting spot, he won't find it here.

If Liddle can play 80 minutes Watson would make make an ideal 14… Maybe that's what Ivan's thinking.

Nah, he's already playing 14 at the Roosters. His manager is just playing games with them in the hopes of bumping up his price.

Wouldn't he apposed to it. Having competition for positions can only be a good thing. What would his role be if he did join us? Utility?

It is in a way, if the roosters value him and do see him as the long term 6 from end of 2018 they would want to secure him now. We seen with Moses how fragile these young kids are when they aren't valued. So if him and his manager know he's the roosters long term 6 then why not play games and get his value up now as opposed to 18 months from now?

Have as a no.14 ala Michael Morgan. Can also cover halves and FB if injured. At the moment he is just another kid with potential.

That sounds like a horizontal move. You'd think he'll only leave the Roosters if he gets a better opportunity at a consistent starting spot. But hey if he wants to come here I'm all for it.

Makes some sense. If he come to the Tigers for 2018 only, he'd be thinking his worst-case scenario is to be 14 every week and show enough to get a big deal from 2019 onwards (Tigers or elsewhere). Up side is an injury to a half or fullback, which sees him in the stating side.

On the other hand, he seems to have more or less the same role on offer at the Roosters including guaranteed football during Origin when Tedesco and Pearce will be missing. Maybe he had his eye on a starting role and thinks there's more chance of one of Brooks/Reynolds/Lolohea proving to be hopeless than Pearce/Keary/Tedesco (which seems fair enough!).

I guess the key factor would be that he's off contract after 2018, so he'd be looking for the best shop window in the next season and a half if he isn't locked into a starting role. If he moves and extends you can pretty much guarantee the Tigers have offered overs…

Sure I saw another post saying we need depth at hooker halves and backup fullback. Tick 3 boxes with one bloke

thats what i was thinking. i wasn't aware that tui was so against a move to anywhere other to fullback. but to be fair, we've never had depth in the halves, rankin and littlejohn are garbage

With Reynolds & Brooks hammies he will see plenty of first grade.

I like it. Some competition for spots is exactly what we need. Even Brooks will need to develop more consistency in his game.
