@ said:I like it. Some competition for spots is exactly what we need. Even Brooks will need to develop more consistency in his game.

Yep a situation we have never been in…..

@ said:Wouldn't he apposed to it. Having competition for positions can only be a good thing. What would his role be if he did join us? Utility?
@ said:We don't need to make a play for everyone who comes on the market. That's pretty irresponsible. Its like the half a dozen wingers and centres that we've supposedly signed. We'll end up signing probably 2\. What's the fascination with Watson. Any young half who comes on in the back half of games for the Roosters is going to look like a million bucks. Has he ever turned a game? As much as some will try and convince themselves we need him, the reality is that we don't. We have our spine sorted for the next couple of years. No need to make contingency plans if Tui fails. If we're making contingency plans, why even sign him in the first place? There are other areas of greater importance that need tightening up. We need a couple outside backs, and another prop and second rower, and i will be happy.
@ said:Don't think he generally gets many minutes at all as the Roosters 14.
You'd have to think he'd get significantly more minutes as 14 with us, and that wouldn't hurt our prospects too much at all.
@ said:I just can't see why this signing would work out for either the player or WT.

Let's not forget that triple M also stated the rumour that Folau was on his way over. They were wrong then and they are probably wrong now. Watson is more likely headed to Newcastle.
