thats a big effort from SBW , YEAH BOTHA IS 44 but has been in the ring with some great fighters .proves SBW is a great athlete whatever he puts his mind into .
And he lost against all of them too… Don't get me wrong, Williams is a great athlete but Botha was punching the tripe out if him towards the end and if we had have got to 11 or 12 he may not have lasted. For me it showed you can't be a part-time boxer if you want to fight people with some class and ability. Botha, who was never a crisp fighter to begin with, has slowed down even more over the last decade. But as the saying goes, the last thing a boxer loses is his power and that almost overwhelmed SBW.
So what did we learn?
SBW's management/people are just as shonky as Mundine's. To put on a 10 round fight when everyone from the press, the crowd, Botha, etc thought it was 12 rounds.
Botha was exceptional value and very likeable. Never looked like he was hurt and showed more class with a more genuine gripe that Mundine did last week.
SBW needs a lot more work if he wants to fight at the highest level. To move beyond this level he can't fight guys in the off-season.
Agreed , if SBW had exceptional talent he would K.O Botha , i mean the bloke is 44 years old (get serious) SBW is at his peak in terms of fitness , so he should of fixed him , just another money hungry Mundine , Cooper is the same.
