So Benji’s opinion is valid, but Smith’s and Darius’ isn’t. Check.

Not saying that at all, just saying I'd let players make their own choice!

Why can we leave it to the players whether they choose to play, but not give doctors and nurses that same option. I’m still working, and I don’t have that option. But players have the luxury of choosing?

It’s not a matter of validity it’s my take on the opinion. I believe Benji has a ‘give back’ attitude which I respect. I believe Boyd and Smith are spoilt brats who only see things from their own narrow perspective and I don’t respect it.
We all need to do things we don’t like sometimes for the common good. I would think after all the game had given Boyd and Smith they would jump at the chance to support it. Apparently not.

I mean no disrespect, but take the hate goggles off and look at it objectively. They both have young families. Boyd has a newborn. They’re within their rights to want to protect themselves and their families without being entitled. A lot of the supporters don’t even want the game to come back. And the truth is, we don’t know how many players share Boyd and Smith’s opinions. I’d guess almost every player from interstate teams who have families won’t want to live in a bubble for 6 months, and who could blame them

Yep I can see that. Hate goggles? Maybe - not personally against them but against overindulged players in general - yes, it annoys me.
I still think it’s soft though. Sometimes life is not perfect. My opinion is they should deal with it.

The other thing is NRL have said families should be able to join players anyway

We are not sending them away from their families. If a doctor or nurse didn't want to work because of the risk atm then I wouldn't really have a problem with that. With the profession they have chosen I do not think there would be many takers!

He WAS the driver!!! He can't get his head around putting on the handbrake so it's no wonder he cant see the NRL restarting.

On the issue of his statement: why the hell was he commenting on NRL. Like these blokes just need the spotlight. It’s really sad.

He's an AFL club boss. They're very insecure in the AFL and need to trash talk the NRL at any opportunity.
