They are not going to stop the season unless forced to by someone within the club contracting CV. They simply can’t afford it.
So far there are 300 in Aus. This will double by weeks end. So 600 out of 25000000. Not an odds on certainty that an NRL person will get it.

The smart money says it will. Then under no circumstances can the game continue. Regardless if they can afford to or not. If a player contracts it and they still play on, they open themselves up to an endless number of lawsuits. Also, the Warriors aren’t going to stick around in Australia for long, which will force them out of the competition indefinitely. How does the NRL carry on a team down? They’ll lose millions from that alone.

Absolutely. I’m just saying that by the stats I’ve heard (diagnosed cases double every 6 days) then another 300 will be diagnosed this week then 600 the next. Out of 25000000 the odds are in the favour of more footy. But yes, eventually the odds will shift - or it may happen tomorrow.

Most major sports have waited until one player/ manager have it and only then do they suspend.

We just wait.
But it’s inevitable.

Perhaps players might need to take massive pay cuts. And I mean massive to sure up their employment down the track.

Tell the players the competition is continuing, if they are worried they can stay at home.

If they don’t play they are in breach of contract and won’t get paid. At least cammy has a 15k ring he can hock to keep the funds flowing

I am very surprised NRL has said they are playing next round as planned. I thought it would be cancelled or moved remotely for the entire season. The second option may be too late if they wait a week or two. We'll be in a much different place with many more people infected and spreading by then.

We might all need to did deep as true supporters of our club
I would donate the cost of a few tickets if it ment keeping our club alive
I am sure most of us would
As long as we are still all earning money to do so.
Maybe clubs could release special edition memorabilia to help raise funds
I would be in for that

WWE is hell bent on forging ahead with Werestlemania in 3 weeks and the only thing that will stop it is the city of Tampa stepping in and banning it, as an event with 80 thousand people is too dangerous. This thing with the Warriors is getting ridiculous. Other clubs are going to be disadvantaged now. As if 2020 wasn’t already a farce.

Why?
Has any major company shut up shop?
Why should the nrl?
Most have started to change working conditions.
I get the travel concerns but also can see why it’s important to run a business. Reality is this will last for months. Might as well get as much $$$ now because it will only get worse.

Qld Cup stood down indefinitely ...obviously the PNG Hunters were the main reason for that
