im just saying that, when we get say 2 wins in a row under our belt, it seems that our team gets cocky and loses against lower teams e.g. the dogs

something has to give they wont get kayo and foxtel in the deal for digital stuff. NRL will likely do a season pass like what happens with NFL and NBA but will not include any fox nrl shows etc.

Fox will go hard to keep the digital, it is crucial to there future survival. Kayo is where most of ch9 viewership has gone. It is only going to become more important for fox to keep the digital.

Yes Fox signed a long term contents deal with Warner / HBO so that’s a positive for them.
They still require a competitive pricing structure to attract new subscribers away from Netflix etc. Competitors.
They need to reinvent themselves to survive but Murdochs seem so far, commuted.

Pay tv in Australia has always relied on live sport for survival, this will not change as they move across to streaming services. Look at the success of Kayo in its relative short lifespan. To be successful in streaming you need to provide exclusive content, sport is king in this area as a sport cannot be replaced by similar content. Someone isn't going to watch AFL instead because that is all that the service they are connected to provides, they will subscribe to whoever has the NRL. Not many shows have this pulling power, it is really only the shows the level of Game of Thrones etc that can drive subscriptions single handedly. That is what the NRL provides, people will join a service for that product alone.

Well Kent on the live programme said his sources were saying the sentences were suspended ...but may change

No suspended means..if they play up again ..it gets enforced..

Unless this has changed in the last 1/2 hour Kent was saying they will more than likely get suspended sentences
