Corona impact on NRL...?

Hahaaaaaaaaaaaa so let's get this straight.

The ultimatum was....

Get the flu shot and play
Or
Don't get it and don't play

And what happened was
He didn't get the flu shot and he's playing.

Brilliant just brilliant 👌😄

Just showed how the government and the NRL are a complete joke.

Don't care too much for Cartwright as a player but I respect him for standing his ground and refusing to be bullied.

Actually the full story is that the opportunity for an exemption was always there with the Qld government, for a previous adverse reaction. They would not grant an exemption on philosophical grounds. Cartwright never said before he had one before and it gave him an adverse reaction, he was arguing for the philosophical stance that it was 'wrong'.

He changed his story, worked towards the loophole.

100% he used the loophole, interestingly enough the other Titans player took the jab, certain people on here have been very silent about that though.

Weak decision for a weak player.

PVL is starting to look very underwhelming.

Grovels to the clubs & players giving away money the NRL does not have.
Grovels to broadcasters renegotiating contracts over a longer term at a lesser rate.

Was chairman through Fifita, Ado-Carr, Lattrell and Cleary damaging the game and the punishment basically consisted of the threat of a wet lettuce if they do it again.

Kind of makes a mockery of the whole thing doesn't it.

He didn't stay true to his cause. So he lost there.
But the found a loophole in the system, he won there.

Does it matter, you ask, not really to me. And possibly not to a lot of people.
I would have preferred he didn't play but that's because of the despicable circumstance of the Panthers club being rumoured to be involved in paying his ex to have an abortion. But that's another story.

Any player if they can provide medical grounds to not receive the Flu shot..can play..as long as they sign a waiver...personal grounds however will not get an exemption..

A small % of people do have an adverse reaction to the shot...you are warned of this by your doctor before the injection...

Yep anyone with egg allergies for example can not have the shot as it contains egg.

Possibly, but I doubt it.

No NRL player is worried about Cartwright and his looney outlook because he doesn’t get within 1.5m of any opposition player ever. Closest he get is walking up the tunnel at halftime

Did he contract autism or did he get chills or a red lump at the injection site. Exactly what reactions is he concerned about?

You'd have to ask Bryce....but from experience a teacher I know a few years ago had a flu shot an had an extreme allergic reaction similar to anaphylaxis..throat swelled trouble breathing ambo's were called..safe to say she hasn't had one since..

"Gold Coast backrower Bryce Cartwright has agreed to have the flu shot, following teammate Brian Kelly, reports The Sydney Morning Herald."

Not what ch7 reported. They said he was given an exemption

Yes exemption based on previous bad reaction to a flu shot apparently.

Very very sad news for Titans supporters.

I would say Cartwright is the player past or present that I have least respect for. He is deadset gutless. Won’t tackle, won’t hit the line, absolute pretender of the highest order.

You mean he won't "inject" himself into an opening........

Didn't he get caught just doing that

Had he not opened his mouth a year or so ago about being an anti vaxxer, he probably would not have even raised an eyebrow. But because he let the world know, you can see through him.
