Novak Djokovic tests positive for Covid19. You do wonder what he was thinking after hosting a tennis tournament without any protocols in place. That’s at least four leading tennis players plus support staff from that one tournament alone and likely more to follow.

Is it ignorance?
Arrogance?
Stupidity?

Probably all, though greed is likely to be the driver.

Are you talking about the population of Melbourne ?

Is it any wonder people are ignoring social distancing when this is shown on national TV.

The resurgence down here in Melbourne appears to be concentrated in 4 or 5 local government areas.

It is supposedly related to a number of large family gatherings where social distancing was ignored. The premier has indicated that many of these families are not natural English speakers and it appears that the original messaging may not have had the same cut through in their communities.

I find that astounding, given the multicultural nature of Melbourne. You would have thought that health authorities would have been all over the need for messaging to be translated and communicated to all ethnic groups. It's not as though we don't know who they are or where they are.

Anyway, they're on to it now and hopefully will rein things in. In the meantime the missus and I are going to ground again.

Looks like I'm not going to get my annual trip to a Tiger's match. I suppose things could be worse.

You think that would have happened from the start.

The numbers just get worse

176 000 cases yesterday ....Brazil and USA contribute 80 000 cases alone

Any person who whinges about living in Australia .......The Lucky Country barely covers it

Things are getting ridiculous down here in Melbourne.

The government has now narrowed the current Covid 19 infections down to 10 suburbs. Thankfully I don't live anywhere near any of those suburbs, but when I went to Woolies this morning to do the weekly shopping, they are, again, completely sold out of toilet paper.

You would think that the penny might have dropped after last time. We are not going to run out of TP because of Covid 19.

I can only assume that the the panic has been caused by people rushing to get in ahead of the "panic buyers"

The "early panic buyers" beating the "late panic buyers".Modern Australia at its worst

With the monstrous amount of saturation coverage that this pandemic has received for the last 4 or so months people, regardless of ethnicity, would be well aware of what they should and shouldn't be doing IMO. You can't account for idiots who disregard what has been drummed into them ad-nauseum for months. Stupid people thrive no matter what the situation sadly.

Really, where was this? I was at the supermarket today and it was pretty much empty. Shelves were full.
