I understand the concerns that businesses across the country have, particularly those in the tourism sector, though I also understand why state leaders still have borders closed or restrictions upon them. What I cannot cop is Clive Bloody Palmer going to the high court to force exposure upon a virus free community, nor the federal government joining him in the action.

I guess Clive’s never heard of the internet.

Question : So if you are found to have COVID and you don't have someone to get basic necessities for you ...what happens ??

Local area health service?
Salvos?
Lifeline?
St Vinnies?

very personalised service will be delivered, and depends in which state you live: in Vic Dan Andrews, in NSW Gladys Berejiklian, In Qld Annastacia Palaszczuk etc.
To minimise carbon footprint, they will use bicycles!

George Pell, Tony Abbott and Alan Jones all had dinner at the Australian Club on 22 July. A staff member at the Club tested positive after attending The Apollo Restaurant in Potts Point.

We could pray for indefinite self isolation.

What a mess the Ruby Princess investigation is showing up, it was established today that an officer from Border Force misinterpreted a form and believed passengers had tested negative for Covid 19 when the results were were Negative for the flu.

Convenient.

???

A "misintepreted form?" So that boat docking is the result of an unnamed officer misreading a form? Was it not already established that passengers were ill with COVID on the boat?

No it wasn't has they didn't have tests onboard to test for covid.

Apparently 1 in 4 of those in Victoria who've tested positive were not at home when the ADF and health services were door knocking yesterday. There's not much hope for us when people are this selfish and stupid.

Well that's my question ...I'm sure these services aren't going to be rushing out to help COVID patients

Is there any exact protocol

The situation is too serious! If the governments are serious they would evacuate all infected and all that cannot be self isolated!
The destination: special facilities near Darwin, built to deal with mass infections. They have buildings, guards, nurses, doctors, all in place. But our politicians still play political games!:rage:

No it wasn't has they didn't have tests onboard to test for covid.

Pretty sure I read at the time some 150 odd people were ill on board the boat.

Peter Dutton is in witless protection.

Ill yes, but they had no way of determining if that was covid, that is why NSW Health requested the swabs be sent on to them to be tested for covid. That is the reason NSW Health should have requested that the ship didn't disembark until those swabs were tested. The ship and cruise companies dishonesty and failures in multiple government agencies led to the ship being allowed to disembark.

ADF are now door knocking every person in Victoria who has a current positive test. Unbelievably 25% of the people they have called on (132 people) were not at home when they called.
These people have been referred to the police who will issue them with $1652 fines. I suspect that is the limit of the police powers in this regard but it is simply not enough.
These are people who are out and about in our community KNOWING that they are infected with Covid 19.
Maybe we should dust off some of those outback camps that we were putting asylum seekers in and charge the buggers for the privilege of staying there.

Forget fines, they should be jailed (forcibly quarantined). Every other resident gets preference for medical treatment and they sit at the back of the queue.
