One of the two diagnosed today works at the Pacific Pines Retirement facility. We've been too lax and some treat Covid with little respect.



Where is that on Sydneys northern beaches?It is one i dont know

The fact that we are fretting about a handful of cases (which I agree is serious and needs to be stamped out), still shows how well Australia is doing compared to the rest of the world:
yesterday the rest of the world broke the previous record for both cases and deaths - 714,908 new confirmed cases in 24 hours, and 13,446 new deaths in 24 hours.

I've been isolating at home since falling ill early on in December. Had a Covid test and got the good news today that it isn't. Must be some other dodgy viruses going around in Queensland this time of the year.

Even without COVID, why spend a fortune pissing on at the rissole or club when you and a couple of mates could have a few drinks for cents in the dollar comparatively at home. And you run a much lesser risk of being infected around a few mates than with a couple hundred strangers.

Perhaps driven by the lower likelihood of encountering an attractive damsel in distress at home, and general lower likelihood of random encounters and experiences that go on to form good memories 🙂 but cheap home drinks is good from time to time too 🙂

Sure was....and still is....the general panic that fb is showing is unbelieveable.

I've been sorta crook for a bit, but had my test last sat and passed with flying colors.

Some of my fondest memories with mates come from 3/4 of a carton deep at 1am around a cheap outdoor glass table. At least the ones I remember haha...

There hasnt been a community case in SW for over 2 weeks, contract tracing in place. Why cant someone go to an RSL club (not my scene). Why is it different to a pub or restaurant?

There hasnt been a community case in SW for over 2 weeks, contract tracing in place. Why cant someone go to an RSL club (not my scene). Why is it different to a pub or restaurant?

Dancing and that appears where at least some of these cases were contracted.

Cases have grown to 17 and everyone on the northern beaches has ben directed to stay at home. No getting coffees or going to the supermarket.

The whole of the northern peninsula has a voluntary !lock down all have to stay at home until further notice .. probable mandatory will not be to far away looks out of control ... 17 cases well looks like that’s Xmas is off the books ,
