At what point do we start locking people up?

A Northern Beaches woman who collapsed at a south coast pizza shop, has been issued a fine for allegedly breaching lockdown.

The 37-year-old woman was at the shop in Sanctuary Point on Wednesday when she became unwell and lost consciousness.

She was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital where police were told the woman appeared to be experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, but she declined to be tested and left the hospital.

She was issued a $1000 penalty infringement notice (PIN) at a home on Edmund Street, Sanctuary Point.

Three other people staying with the woman were told to self-isolate.

The pizza store has been closed for cleaning as a precaution.

And this is one of the main problems
Selfish individuals who ruin it for everyone else and who continue to spread this virus and put other peoples lives at risk
Some people just don't have a brain
This Virus will continue to hang around and have clusters as long as people like this continue to ignore the dangers or refuse to see the warning signs

I believe it may be a family. A poster named 'Stephen' in the SMH comments section provided the surname. I will not post the surname for obvious reasons.

Yeah i heard rumours from a friend of a friend from the AFP too. Not sure if it was true though.

I've been offered a position for Dept Home Affairs but I've been waiting for 3 months now for seurity clearance. Asking a billion questions like overseas relatives; Past addresses for past 10 years ; past overseas trips last 10 years and reasons why for the trips. Immensely rigorous.

Mate told me the message re Dutton allowing a "prominent coouple" permission to not self isolate. Reticent to post it because i'm not sure if its true...

Merry Christmas to you and your family to buddy! have a lovely new years too champion. Hope you had a great 2020 as well.

There is another poster who seems to know the identity of one of the sources. He/she suggests it would be a huge embarrassment to two of our most prominent politicians based on the exemption granted.

x2 what my mate texted me.

A friend of a friend so take it with salt etc

Yeah the questions procedures is pretty standard these days as far as it was explained to me ...I won't say much as I'd hate for it to get them in trouble but this person has been with the AFP for a long time and was re interviewed for their position far more stringently ...had a relationship that went very strangely wrong and they went over and over and over with them ....

G'day again TR: Mate, it's really exciting to hear that an ex Wests MAGPIE has a good chance of hitting the big time in the nerve centre of Australia.
I wish you all the very best with it, and if its what you really want, that your dreams come true.
I hope you will be able to keep the rest of us forum.... 'plodders'....in the loop as to how you are going.
Errr...ahhh...ummm, will you be able to carry a firearm?
Only kidding Mate....dont tell us!
Sorry...I picked the wrong detective on my previous post as my computer was not plugged into power and the screen was dark...it should have been this one :male-detective: or this one :sleuth_or_spy: .

"Premier urges people not to head to Sydney's CBD for boxing day sales"

Pfffft.. What a joke.
Let's see how that goes.... Like Bronte beach yesterday x 1000 my guess

The pic that was the worst for me was the one with the police just wandering through the crowd. Hopeless

NSW has done very well both in managing outbreaks while keeping the economy open, busineses operating and people in employment.

There is always the possibility of a leak from quarantine. It is the manner in which you respond that ultimately counts.

Taking the lion share of overseas travellers is one issue. The other is the 'hot loads' of overseas travellers from Covid infected destinations.

Looking at some news footage today, it looks like people actually heeded the Premier's warning and stayed away from the CBD. I bought a new TV at JB at Macquarie centre, that place was busy and I estimate 50% at best were wearing face masks.

Yeah fairly quiet in the city... I'm surprised at that... Though I went past DFO homebush at 3pm and the traffic waiting to get into that joint was back past the M4 coming from the south

I can't understand why it isn't compulsory to be tested and Covid free before these overseas passengers are allowed on a plane.

When our daughter returned from UAE she had to be tested and have the results before she was allowed to board the plane.

That must have been the requirements in UAE or the airline she flew with

Many countries aren't obviously that diligent BT or more to the point ...happy to have another Covid cases off their books

I thought the case was like in Greg Normans case they can show a negative test and incubation occur for up to 10 days without symptoms. Therefore once passengers jump on a plane they may well have a negative test and feel fine, yet later develop symptoms.

Both airline and Government, she had to be tested to travel from Dubai to Abu Dhabi to catch the flight.
