That's a bit harsh .....I can't speak for every state , but Qld has always accepted what number they were asked to take into quarantining ...and as I said if we were asked they were going to put more quarantined people into Mackay ,Cairns and Gladstone

It’s a complete breakdown of the federation. One Australia no longer.

The Federation ...are we still talking about Australia or Battlestar Galatica ...the minute we became reliant on our own GST the "federation " would split

And the country comes together in true times of need

I hope not, I scored an invite to the 1st day for the members stand.

Far out! I hope you’re gonna shout the bloke beers all day

I wouldn't have thought so ...sounds like the sort of bloke who moans and whinges on a Forum all day long ....

Your premier has been a complete and utter moron but to be fair a bunch of them have. Gladys has handled this so well.

This shows how many politicians aren't up to it. Gladys said something that I thought made sense yesterday. She stated it's about holding your nerve. You have a plan. It's worked. You got to stick with it. You have to trust the system.

We have one state carrying the load for the country and providing hand-outs to everyone else. My expectation is that every state barring NSW pays higher taxes for the next 10 years to pay off the debt. Seriously just make it a blanket $1000 per person in each state barring NSW as a COVID tax going forward.

I have a massive aversion to free loaders. You get them in all walks of life. They have great ideals. They don't want to pay for their ideals. They should be made to bear the cost of their ideals.

Princess Ruby .....she was the 1st moron .....maybe not the biggest moron overall ...but still a moron

Maybe she has been too busy helping the ex Member from Wagga to be more moronic

We are all doing our little bit ...I probably spend around 2.5 hours at work every day now making my business Covid safe and have to put up with a lot of crap doing it

Gladys should shut the hell up and deal with her crap herself. It's not QLDs fault she's in a pickle. Nor is it Vic, WA's or whoever else decides that their borders are to close to protect their citizens. They're elected to make decisions so as to keep the place safe first and foremost. Just get on without the barbs for once can we? The finger pointing is pathetic.

It was a system stuff up but these things happen. They fixed it and have been doing a really good job since.

Freeloaders should be made to pay.

Did she pull the borders so quickly during Victoria's outbreak ? Are NSW taking more than their fair share of OS travelers back into the country ? Where is most of the funding for the COVID related recession going too ?

It's cool to shut down your borders immediately and it's cool to allow a lot less OS travelers in but if you want to shirk than you suffer the consequences.

I'm a bit harsh because there is a free loader in my family and I can't stand people like that.

If I shout him beers all day he will be passed out in his seat. He struggles to hold his beer.

I hope you get to enjoy it. I'm not going this year but I'll be gutted if they move it from Sydney. Sydney and Adelaide are the two best test venues In Australia. Nothing beats day one of a Sydney test and day three is right up there too.

The outbreak has nothing to do with overseas travellers. I believe it has to do with air staff not having strict boundaries to adhere to which should have been put in place by the state govt. So she should shut up and accept she screwed up on that front.
Qlds borders were closed and strict for a long time. If there's one thing they appear to be strong on its border policy. And I think it's fair enough for each state to be so if they so choose in these times.
I don't know where most of the funding is going to. I'm sure our idiot PM wouldn't do QLD any favours on this front though.
For the record, I'm more than happy for borders to remain shut for months yet or for that matter however it might take. And I understand the repercussions. I also have a business that would be affected, kids that likely would be affected and elderly parents that are definitely at risk. So I support the QLD premier on border control decisions so far.

She is dealing with it herself and doing it very well too but she's right to point out the rubbish that Palaczuk and McGowan are coming out with.

Not from me. Who would I be envious of?

At what point do we start locking people up?

A Northern Beaches woman who collapsed at a south coast pizza shop, has been issued a fine for allegedly breaching lockdown.

The 37-year-old woman was at the shop in Sanctuary Point on Wednesday when she became unwell and lost consciousness.

She was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital where police were told the woman appeared to be experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, but she declined to be tested and left the hospital.

She was issued a $1000 penalty infringement notice (PIN) at a home on Edmund Street, Sanctuary Point.

Three other people staying with the woman were told to self-isolate.

The pizza store has been closed for cleaning as a precaution.

We don't know exactly how this virus has gotten out. I think though you are completely wrong. If there were no os travelers there would be no virus. The air crews are only supporting os travelers.

Just to give some perspective on this issue. Britain had over 39, 000 new cases yesterday.

Keep the borders closed but the money should be coming from their own residents.

Well, if we don't go oversees, we don't bring it in.
The crews are not supporting us, they're making a living. They're not assisting out of the goodness of their hearts. When they're out of the country, they should be forced to remain in isolation, or be sacked and fined heavily.
The UK got to 39,000 because they started with just a few and grew from there. They isolated, for a bit, then were encouraged to go out and gather once again with the assistance of the govt. They actually were giving them money to spend in eateries. Good old Boris. I'm not sure if air travel stopped, but I believe that whilst locked down at home, airways remained open. Not sure what they were trying to achieve if that was in fact policy.

The two guys playing in the band that has infected Sydney are both Chartered accounts with a large company in the CBD ... here’s the rub both these guys had tests and were told to isolate until results were returned so did they ?
Well after infecting Avalon they went on there merry way playing at gigs all over Sydney and we now what has happened .
Should these 2 DH’s be named and shamed and then given a custodial sentence of 6 months for deliberately infecting others ? And if deaths occur charged with man slaughter !

Is there a source for this claim..
