So explain this .....

I hadn't even heard about this ...but 2 players from the Warriors were on the same fight as the flight attendant a few weeks ago .....missed 2 weeks

Blokes hid under beds , lie to all and sundry and break the rules ...get one week

Yeah just saw the Nathan Brown press conference, he is unhappy at the unfair treatment of guys who were doing the right thing being caught out by an accident and he is missing them for 2 weeks while other guys who blatantly flout the rules and break the law miss one game.

It is hard to argue with his point.

Wow, seems that our approach to the Pfizer vaccine offer a year ago could have been even worse than I have read on elsewhere and the failure of our PM to hold a hose to make a call to fix the problem even more negligence on his part.

To read that a former PM in Kevin Rudd was called in by and accepted business leader's requests to intervene and arrange to expedite doses for our nation was disconcerting.

https://t.co/Rpn6NtzlNg?amp=1

"As a result, one very senior Australian businessman — whose identity is known to the ABC but who wishes to remain anonymous — held two meetings with senior Pfizer executives in late June, only to be rebuffed.

Senior Pfizer executives told the businessman that if Australia was to make a more serious effort, after its treatment at the hands of relatively junior bureaucrats, it would have to come from much higher up, expressing their astonishment that Prime Minister Scott Morrison had not directly spoken to the Pfizer chairman and chief executive Albert Bourla, as former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had done on multiple occasions.

The executives suggested that, in the absence of Mr Morrison, former Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd — who was known to them because of his work in the United States as head of the New York-based Asia Society — may have some influence.

The network of businessmen contacted Mr Rudd and set up an introduction to Dr Bourla. A Zoom meeting was arranged on June 30. Mr Rudd sent a text a message to Mr Morrison to tell him he was going to make the call, making clear he would be representing himself as a concerned Australian and not in any way as an emissary from the government."

And with PVL with his rule changes to me its not rugby league as we know it...some of our heros of the game that have now passed would turn in their graves to see how some of these overpaid sooks are treated and how they think they are above others with their attitude toward normal folk and their peers...

Could not agree more, they do what they are good at, and paid extremely well, they work 2-4 hours a day, they have long holidays - all without any school/University - many of them think that they are entitled to receive anything they want, and are naturally well above expandable workers! Their arrogance and ignorance are often expressed against the weakest, including woman!

VAERS COVID Vaccine Data
(Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System, USA)

https://www.openvaers.com/covid-data

A friends mother got the jab two days later went back to the GP was sent to Westmead Hospital this was three weeks ago had 4 of the 5 side effects they look for had headaches blood clots all over her lungs never had blood clots in her life and was told it was not the jab and it will not be reported as a problem from the jab...

the family is very upset

You need to take this further @Radoush
Ring talk back radio stations, ABCTV and radio, CH9, etc.
There may well be others in the same stressful situation and this needs to be known.

Trust me Magpies, there are plenty of others in this type of situation. Many have approached different arms of the mainstream media to tell their story, NONE are interested.

You know by posting this sort of information online you are going to convince people to not have the vaccine? I think that is irresponsible, I am not saying you are wrong about what you are saying but people need to speak to their doctors about this sort of stuff and not rely on what they read on forums.

Absolutely! I’m just sharing an opinion based on the real stories that I have been told. Everyone needs to do their own research and make an informed decision for themselves, not just follow the herd.

People don't need to "do their research," they need to speak to medical professionals and formulate their opinions based on the advice of people whom have studied their whole lives in the field of health rather than listening to half truths and misinformation on the Internet.

Actually they do. Real stories, real lives - not misinformation on the internet thank you very much! Many medical professionals around the world are divided on the matter. The medical professionals and scientists who don’t agree with the ‘vaccine’ are no less qualified than those who do agree with it. It’s up to you who you believe.

It is still best they seek the advice of a professional who has the bluest clue about what they are talking about, regardless if whether they are sold or dubious on the vaccine. Do you seek advice from a bricklayer about taxation? I'm a fridgie, maybe you can give me a call when you want to sell your house...

So, I'm putting together a band. We just need a bass player and we're ready to go. We're called Scummo and the Gladbags.

Basically, we're going to raise a lot of hype and expectations and commit to gigs that we won't show up to. No probelm though, we've already provided the rave reviews for the Murdoch press to publish and the moronic punters to believe and post on Insta.

Rock on, Australia!!!!!!!

So who is going to play the organ like Scummo does?

Not like Rudd to undertake a bit of political grandstanding in a public crisis.......is it?

Rudd said as much himself. He said he was not involved in the contract processes or anything, he just met with them in order to have a chat. He's not in any position to make any decisions on behalf of the government.

Yep, just went to have a chat, about something he knows nothing about and in a situation that he has no jurisdiction, authority or power to make anything happen, and as a result, and as Pfizer have said....nothing did happen.

Doesnt stop Rudd from letting the ABC know what he is up to and "oops" his letter gets leaked to the press. Disgusting grandstanding in the face of a genuine public crisis. Genuinely disgusts me.

My apologies, probably should be in the Politics thread but the two are heavily entwined obviously.

Still only saying that he was not involved in the "contractual" negotiations or arrangements and not denying the involvement in expediting the vaccines.

Edit: The business persons put it out there, with Rudd answering journalist enquiries.

And either way, he got involved in an attempt to assist our nation and it highlights the continuing ineptitude at federal level.

It was all upside. They may have said yeah no worries we'll help we will give Scomo a call, or they were going to laugh him out of there. Neither scenario puts us worse off than where we currently are. It doesn't matter anyway, everyone will spend more time putting the boot into Rudd than actually taking aim at the government for their woeful performance.

Business leaders obviously thought it was worth a shot to be involved in it. Probably sick of losing money due to the slow rollout.
