I heard that the NRL might cancel the season - they are having a meeting now.

Are You Deadset? Don’t post this kind of alarmist crap ATM because the hysteria got me believin’

It is serious buddy... not kidding... I would hate for it to be cancelled. I am dying to watch a game of footy but they are all in a meeting now.

No plans to suspend the season or stop crowds attending...players will not interact with fans at the end of games no selfies signing flags etc...

Pretty simple stuff hopefully, we must remember that Dudd Toddberg still has his job

It's not an NRL decision it's a state and federal government decision

Not insinuating that He has anything to do with it... just in the same boat as you mate

Surely that’s infringing on common sense to call it all off (for the season, permanently, as 4j says) on the opening night of ‘20. Only he has the power to consider making such a call

Wasn’t saying either that it’s been set in stone. Hoping that govt. makes special considerations for certain types of public activities. As has been stated I’m living in Rhodes at the moment and not a single festival or rule/“law” in relation to containing its spread is being stopped and followed, respectively. Hard to think it’s legit.

WOW...what a sensible, interesting and thought provoking interview.
Thanks @NT-Tiger

Yeah, I can't attest to the accuracy of what he's saying. I wouldn't know him from a bar of soap, but it gives another perspective/opinion.

Sounds fair dinkum to me @NT-Tiger...I would have loved to see the follow up interview where the bloke tells us how to keep ourselves 'safe' as I'm sure we can with a few common sense precautions.

Normal hygiene like wash your hands thoroughly and don’t touch your face and avoid direct contact with other people.

Also If you are a smoker, stop if you can to avoid compromised lungs.

If you have a chronic illness make sure you you have enough medication in case you have to self isolate for a couple of weeks.

That’s about all you can do.

And hope no one decides to attempt to break into your house for food etc

Why would they? The food supply chain here is not under threat. Fresh veggies, fruit, meat and dairy will continue to be available. Any shortage of cereal will be temporary if at all. If you have to self isolate shops, family and friends can deliver to your door if you run out of supplies.

Also heard that the bakeries are only making white / whole meal bread at present to sure up supplies .

Woolies are baking and selling all breads maybe what you have been told only applies at some specialist bakeries.I would imagine Coles would be the same as Woolies as they would not want to lose trade

Enough, as I nearly always buy in bulk for most things other than perishable and topped up with a couple of Quilton 20 packs at a Coles servo on Australia Day. Was lucky enough to grab an 8 pack for my desperate sister at my last shopping outing. Mind you, the smaller amount of canned products we use are low-fat the moment.

Though some here ridiculed my comparison, I always expected the spread to be like that of the Spanish Flu due to it's end of WW1 similarity to modern travel movements to all parts of the world and lack of immunity, regardless of modern medicine.

If it finds it's way to the more susceptible remote communities, such as island or territory indigenous ones and similar isolated ones around the globe, it will likely cause great destruction amongst them.

Does a lower fat content guarantee the stop of the spread in ones body ? Thin N Crispy

Btw, not ridiculing you, as I’m genuinely quite sick with a bunch of the symptoms (also not showing in some of the obvious areas) just genuinely wondering if the Low Fat fad was initiated by people like yourself - in the know about the virus and how deadly it is- in order to buy us all out?

Agree about smaller communities but the same could be said of virtually anything mass-introduced by any other culture , ever... not just here in Australia and by all accounts two of the most popular + affluent holiday destinations in Japan, China and even USA are in dire straits.

Sorry mate, must have been an auto correct thing, as definitely not low fat for me.

Nba season was just suspended yeah? 2020 NRL season not looking good at the moment.

Yeah the NBA season has been suspended after Jazz centre Rudy Gobert tested positive to corona. It's likely there will be more players in the Utah team that have been infected.

If a player tests positive in the NRL I can see the same outcome occurring.

Utah Jazz. What's crazy is that 2 days ago he was joking about the virus in a press conference and wiped his hands all over the microphones and journos recording devices. Absolute idiot!

Haha, misread your post. In saying that it only takes one infected NRL player and we'll be in the same boat.
