Yeah, I can't attest to the accuracy of what he's saying. I wouldn't know him from a bar of soap, but it gives another perspective/opinion.

Sounds fair dinkum to me @NT-Tiger...I would have loved to see the follow up interview where the bloke tells us how to keep ourselves 'safe' as I'm sure we can with a few common sense precautions.

Normal hygiene like wash your hands thoroughly and don’t touch your face and avoid direct contact with other people.

Also If you are a smoker, stop if you can to avoid compromised lungs.

If you have a chronic illness make sure you you have enough medication in case you have to self isolate for a couple of weeks.

That’s about all you can do.

I feel like there’s been a bit of karma at play here for people not taking this seriously. The NBA player who tested positive, mockingly touched all the microphones after a press conference, and the best one of all, American Congressman Matt Geatz who turned up to vote on a bill wearing a gas mask. Nek minit, he was quarantined for coming into contact with someone who was infected. And he wa on AF1 with the President after he came in contact, before he was quarantined.

Yep, in the team I'm in, we have all put in our requests (and they are being granted) for remote access, meaning we will be able to work form home when corona runs through the office. Good thing too, as I'm a contractor, if I don't work I don't get paid, and I can't afford not to be paid.

And I've heard the same thing as you are saying in at least one government agency in Canberra. I don't know if it's the same one as you are referring to, but they started Monday also. It iS Authentic @Mighty_Tiger.

Well at least we have a leader that has taken this current situation reasonably seriously, plus a health system and testing infrastructure to combat it.

On the other side of the Pacific, I not long ago watched their narcissistic leader that called it a hoax and endangered his constituents in his approach, now addressing the nation for only the second time in his tenure. It is almost unbelievable that he can still dribble out political crap during such, at a time when objectivity and honesty should be paramount.

Unbelievable national address from a first world leader, even from him and for the deranged one's that will still stand up for him on this subject, well, they have the true TDS. It wouldn't matter who the leader was, as such actions would be seen as very poor, if not contemptuous leadership, by any slightly opened minded person.

Truly feel sorry for the many people that have and will be adversely affected, or worse, with lives lost due to such incompetence in not seriously addressing the issue and instead, using it as a political football. Disgusting behaviour.
