2020 bound to happen the covid thread becomes the politics thread and the politics thread is full of covid..

COVID is very much a political issue as much as a public health issue.

Its not a political issue and it shouldnt be. Its a virus and politics doesnt affect or cure it but people make it political depending on if it suits their "team".

The decisions being made around Covid19 are more politically based than medical. Like it or not it’s a political issue.

Unfortunate but true and even moreso overseas

I remember the Kevin 707 days oh and the Gillard days... Morrison is doing a good job considering how some of the states have handled things namely Qld. I hope Anna gets rolled at the election the state was mismanaged even before covid..
Albo is like Shorten the entire Labor camp need to break away from the insane Green policies and get back to trying to govern like it is only inner Sydney and inner city Victoria.
I am sure eachway albo and the team no just how to "fix" everything... please.
Considering Morrison had to take over from Turnbull he was absolutely pathetic he is doing a good job, all turnbull was interested in was putting on the leather jacket and appearing in Q&A what a disgrace that show is using tax payer dollars.
The budget is the best we could hope for at the moment given covid, it could have been team red in charge and we would have nothing left at all

Back to Cronulla, Scotty.

Dude, you do know that Morrison the crook, one with a shielded employment history was the treasurer most responsible for economic policy which more than doubled our national debt whilst we spiralled downwards from a lofty position amongst other nations in areas of both economy and jobs. This despite Liberal foot soldiers not even wanting this terrible man to represent their local electorate in the first place, instead being shoe horned in against the wishes of the vast majority in the preselection process. He is also the one that brought a lump of coal to work and now leads a gas led COVID recovery plan, again leaving our potentential to be a world leading innovative mine to manufacture nation languishing.

I too remember those times a decade or so ago when our leaders lead us we had an economy rated at the top of the OECD, yes the one your mate wants to nominate Cormann to, instead of 20 odd places lower under the coalition. Coming out of the GFC oh so comparatively well, having also introduced an effective temporary carbon reduction pricing strategy along the way to a market scheme and implementation of a fibre to the home NBN program to provide international top standard internet services.

I have also spent time in a number of the school halls, libraries and other buildings, along with sporting structures that were built back then, that of course continue to be utilised across the nation by people and their children. Not perfect, but effective in providing great short to mid term stimulus and then enduring gains for decades.

We can only hope that the current budget works a hell of a lot better than Morrison's policies thus far.

Ah yes formerguest, it must grate at you that Shorten didn't follow the script and win the last election. As for past policies Pink bats worked out really well didn't it.... not

Either way mate I hope it is rectified and she gets what she is entitled to.

Thankfully they all recieved an email today saying " a glitch in the payroll system" caused the error and they'll be back paid asap.
Big relief for us both

With the Telegraph reporting Collins favourite to be appointed assistant first grade coach I am starting to qld think there will be no Canterbury Cup next season? If so, not sure how the Top 30 all get good game time.

Nothing will be different by next March so I would say it will be bubble time again.. only NRL. It’s over six months now and nothing has changed with the Covid issue . My prediction is it will spread through Qld as the fools think there immune it’s only a matter of time ..so that scenario will throw the spanner in the works for next seasons comp !

LNP have a mortgage on the concept of rhetoric. Managed to con simpletons into thinking the ALP are bad economic managers despite trebling debt and having control of both houses in the last two and a bit terms.

It's called a joke ...but the event was almost shut down for that exact reason ....the Health Dept reported after the 2nd day a group of 15 sitting together ...they actually literally stopped all the games because of breaches with numbers on 2 occasions

On both occasions the groups and the group I spoke were from areas within 30 minutes travel time ..when you have teams like Cairns and Townsville who have travelled 16 and 13 hours to the event ......
