Are they at the point where they are refusing to take a personal economic hit because the state didn't do what was needed when it was necessary in locking down the Eastern Suburbs?
It is easy for me to comment from my position as I can work from home, have everything I need and am in an area with no recorded cases.
It would be much harder for those living week to week being told that they cannot leave for work and have to take leave, or if they are casual, stay home without pay and try to apply for government support. JobKeeper would likely still not be enough for many, while the areas that started this outbreak (who are the demographic who could handle a hard lockdown,) were flogged with a wet lettuce leaf and not locked down properly and facilitated the spread.
I’m still working.. government can get bent !
I’m not dropping 3-3.5k a week just because they can’t get there shit together.

Even got pulled over just after Faulco station yesterday arvo ..
cops can’t do Jack if you give them a reasonable excuse !
Thing is that that you don't need to go to work to survive and can likely get by with the current payments (which I have long stated is inadequate) and as a tradie have been one of the lucky ones that have until now been basically unaffected.
Every single person that does similarly potentially makes the collective a much bigger risk and played a part in what got us to this point and is making the lockdown last longer.
Sure, I strongly blame the government for also having us here, but community needs to be the driver for us all to get out of this and every action of greed also keeps those doing the right thing in lockdown longer.
I’m working on 2 empty townhouse’s atm ..
I don’t see any issue .
I’ve had all materials delivered to the site .
I do the right thing wearing masks and QR code’s when buying fuel .
I’m booked in for the vax .
I go straight to work then straight home
I’m not receiving any handouts and I don’t want any either ..
it’s my old mans 75th today ..will I see him .. no I won’t. ! I’ll call him later !
Scomo and Gladys can shove it ..
And the police can’t do shit tbh !
We’re all in this together.. NOT .. different rules for different folks !
And as for calling it greed you can shove that as well ..
  couldn't agree more...
Got my shop in Artarmon. Online orders, click & collect for now.
Only way I'll shut down is if the gov't foots the bill and covers everything. Until then they can get stuffed.
The current handouts wouldn't make a dent in my overheads.
Still paying my staff to come in and do their normal stuff so the business stays profitable.
Again, these state premiers and health advisers are a bunch of flogs. I'm pretty sure they're still getting paid during these lockdowns whilst at the same time telling people to stay home and forfeit their paychecks for the greater good...
Yep .. we’re governed by a bunch of useless flogs mate !
Good luck with the business champ !
Spending more time in the shop now than I would under normal circumstances lol...
Can't be with the missus all day every day. Would drive me insanely bonkers
