A mate of a mate? Who had a mate who read on a blog?

He read it on some right wing conspiracy blog. It's pretty funny right.

It's the conspiracy theory equivalent of that fake photo of a waterfall coming off the Sydney Harbour Bridge that does the rounds every time there's heavy rain.

The 'reservists are getting called up, something is going down on ## date, martial law is coming' does the rounds at least once a month.

Martial law you reckon ? Lol

Bit worried after Gladys said the other week people should have enough food at home now to last the month

Did she really state that? Surely not as she is well aware that some 10% of the community do not have the funds to enable that and especially so now as for many the current safety net payments are not available.

The worst part is so many children are affected and being denied the necessary assistance, which rightly was made available previously. Thus virus continues to amplify disparities.

Wonder if there's any news on the supposed rushed in Pfizer doses. I have to wait until 7th October for my first dose.

The 'rush' and 'bring forward' of Pfizer doses was always nonsense.

Not good news for Sydney today. Take care guys.

Nevermind, a clinic closer to me has started doing Pfizer, managed to get an appointment on 6th September. A month better, so can't complain.

Gladys has it right. We need to get people vaccinated. Personally I would stop all doses of Pfizer to anywhere else in the country other than Sydney.

Everyone in Sydney should be vaccinated especially those in the SW.

This is a disaster because rich people (like me) get to stay at home whereas poorer people in the SW work in critical environments.

National emergency to S/W and Western Sydney it’s out of control !will the seas side suburbs be out and about on the weekend ..hope not !

Mine is a bit different, as a couple of weeks back they changed the location for mine from Newcastle's John Hunter Hospital, to a new state mass vaccination centre opening at Belmont, with the appointment time remaining August 9.

Good for me as it not that much past halfway of the previous location and will save a bit of time and mileage between the two doses. There are closer locations, but I couldn't book them back when Pfizer became available for 50-59yo.

I wouldn't go that far. Prioritising, yeah, but also targeting those groups across the nation that were supposed to have been months ago.

How do they know , or not know , that the people who have got the covid bug and have been isolating , arent the ones that are going to get the covid test again , without having recovered , hence bringing the total of cases up the next day.

Yep, I agree (in part).

It's disappointing, but only because this outbreak could have been nipped in the bud if the NSW government hadn't gone about the lockdown in such a half-arsed way.

But I think there was some diversion of vaccines to Victoria during a previous lockdown, so it's not without precedent, and it's certainly in the interests of the entire nation for the NSW outbreak to be contained as soon as possible.

I probably wouldn't go so far as to stop all doses of Pfizer going anywhere but to NSW. I think Scomo and Co will be pilloried if they try that one on.

I would assume the most basic of programming would have a list of names.

Can you imagine the spin:

Queenslander Kevin Rudd secures additional Pfizer doses for Australia.
Scott Morrison gives them all to NSW.

The operative word is "spin". I'm not suggesting for one moment that either of those statements is true.

I’ve got a few mates in the forces in Darwin and they are prepping for mass food deliveries. They’ve also indicated military presence may become the norm to stop any protests that may come about. It’s pretty obvious we’ll see some uproar soon like what is happening overseas with the vaccination passports.

Why would anyone willingly do such a thing?

Full personal details including medicare number were taken when I got tested, so they would know, in the extremely unlikely case this was happening.

Well we are hearing the words national emergency out of the NSW presser today.

I get that champ , but people still have to go get tested until they get a negative result. So if a person that has the bug goes for their second test (to see if they dont have it anymore) and it comes up positive does it then count on the next days total?

It is expressed as number of new cases rather than test results, such as community transmission and hotel quarantine.
