So the season is coming towards an end, he is out for the majority of the season & is currently off contract. Do we re-sign him? If it was up to me I would give him a 2 year deal, wouldn't be on much and he is a pretty good player, he would be able to fill in at centre if we were to drop Lawrence, he stood out in the Sharks & Titans games and he only played several others due to players coming back & injuries.

I would re-sign him.

Low contract, gives good depth, got backrow.

Still has quality to offer.

Yes please!

Love the big fella, pity he didn't get much of a run this year due to injuries, would love to see what he could do if he can stay on the paddock.

He may not play again this season either. I would offer him another 12 months though. He showed some promise with limited opportunities.

A mate from work saw him at the gym not long ago. He reckons he was struggling to lift weights and the hand was strapped up heavily.

I have a feeling it may be a career ending injury. A finger injury taking this long is a bit wierd. I hope I'm wrong though .

We certainly can lose a player for ages and even for good from what appear to be standard injuries. Dwyer, tuiaki, etc

Not great examples of standard injuries there.

Who was it that had a boil that kept them out for months?

With Santi coming through along with the gun from the NYC whose name starts with L we are better off using that money and sign a centre

Anyone who thinks differently is crazy

Thompson is a way higher priority in our back row ranks and remains unsigned for 2015

I'm a huge Patto fan, I hope he sticks around but I don't see it happening. If Sironen wasn't around then he might stand a chance, but I think Akauola has jumped him in the queue.
Would he very handy depth, but I think we have greater priorities.

I'd have to agree with Happy. Sign Thomson and then look for a centre of first grade standard. Then if there's money left over, maybe re-sign Patto. I like the guy, but he's not essential to the team.

He'd be taking the place of emerging talent, Id say no….

he is a journeyman type player who showed enough with us to pick up a fulltime contract with someone.
