I initially stated if he wins us games I'd have him. After reading a bunch of posts on this forum I don't want him here simply because I can't stand hearing that nonsense.

Folau spouted his opinion . . well, he actually just quoted someone else's opinion . . . and was sacked ( wrongly, as the mediation court discovered ) and has been the subject of far more hurtful, bigoted and hatred filled BS than he "spouted".
The side of the discussion that hates him has had carte blanche to write, tweet, post, and say whatever the hell they wanted about the Church, Christianity, etc. Just look at the disgusting and derogatory remarks in this very forum and thread. I don't want to condemn any of them within reason. People make mistakes. The laws today in relation to domestic violence are at times laughable and some bad women sometimes use this to their advantage.

I think in modern day society people shouldn't have podiums to criticize people for being homosexual. I have friends who are gay and I think it's rude. The way this becomes a free speech/anti-leftist debate to me is all warped.

For mine it's two sides of the same coin. I don't agree with what he said. I don't think he'd be a good signing for other reasons outside of the theocratic nonsense, which I discussed in my first post in this thread.

I don't agree about shutting him down. But if you say things in a public forum you open yourself to all sorts of criticism. If I started endorsing what the Nazi party did prior to, and during, World War 2 I hardly think anyone on here would say "he's free to express his opinion, let up on him." That goes back to taking responsibility for what you say.

You're taking me to task now and behaving like it's all or nothing with me, which is clearly contrary to what I have said, so clearly you have only read that one line post and didn't take in context to everything else I have said in this thread. I've even pointed out reasons as to why I believe he still may be entitled to be registered due to the NRL's arbitrary definition of what constitutes their values.
