Could This Be Different?

I've just finished watching the Manly game via live stream on the computer and I feel pretty excited. The Tigers look different this year and the whole vibe surrounding the team is different. A couple of years ago experts were saying that, with the young cubs coming through, a positive future for the club was assured. Then the wheels fell off…....
Both games were at home and two games don't make a season but......I'm going to stick my neck out and say that we should make the 8\. There are so many positive signs and we undoubtedly have some real class in this team. Not only that but there are other players other than the stars (Tedesco, Moses, Brooks, Woods) who are gaining in confidence and making big contributions (Naiqama, Sue, Lawrence). That was a great win against a very good side. To answer strongly when Manly began to ask questions was an excellent sign for the rest of the season. Who agrees?

I think we have the makings of a team that can easily make the 8\. I think the talent is there. It'll be interesting though how we go when things get tough.

As usual it will depend on whether we can keep the troops on the park. Im still concerned that we let teams get back into match despite seeming to be in control. Origin period will be very tough, particularly if Teddy gets picked for the Blues.

And we play the Titans next week, who we should towel, and we have a very good record on the Gold Coast and an even better one when I actually watch em.

We also played one of the supposed top sides with only 16 players fro most of the game. That's 2 weeks in a row where we have virtually only used 16 players - the S & C department need commending.

I'd like to believe so, but we must remember:
1) We've played 2 teams chock full of new players at home.
2) The undefeated teams this time last year were Souths, Penrith, Newcastle and us.

Easy kemosahbee. It's an interstate game with only a 2 day preperation coming off 2 big home wins. This will be a bigger test than the first two weeks.

100%
They're a different team this year and I think they'll surprise a few.

Nope. We will put 50 on them.

Hope youre right…..youre a bit excited right now eh?

Hell yes I am.

The Titans are the perfect team for us to face next week. They are not good, they have a poor record against us, it is a game we should win. We have a very good recent record in QLD. The team needs to prove they are the real deal and win these games. If we put away the Titans well next week, we're the real deal.

I think next week is a real danger game and also one that could define our season - 2 good wins against fancied sides, lots of media hype, great attacking football average defence. Good sides chalk it it up as a win and get on with next week. Good coaches bring their sides back from the highs and focus on the next game - I think will we see how good a coach Taylor is and where this side is at next week.

Titans have a good backrow and speed in their backline

Right them off at our own peril , they have won 2 of their last 3 against us

Week at a time….Titans are a lot better than I thought they would be at the start of the season...it wont be easy up there...

No different than a couple of years ago under Potter when we were going well till we lost Farah teddy and a couple of other backs.
We need luck with injuries especially in the backs and very especially at fullback and the three quarters . Guys like Simona and Naquaima are indispensable and very good positional players not to mention teddy and the halves.

Take last years brookie game when we led but lost Nofa and another centre and we unraveled before haf time.
Was expecting a win tonight as i posted elsewhere and luckily for me backed em big.
With an attcking mobile style we have hopes.

As for Manly they will really discover how good Foran is.
