Could we be making way for a big name player?

Yes, I think and hope Robbie will be fine even into his early 30s.. Would be a nice final contract for him… Please Robbie - tiger for life. Absolute legend!

Well they haven't signed anybody of note. If Sandow fires and you have Farah and Hayne as the rest of your spine you're not looking too shabby

I don't want lui back. I was proud that the club ( eventually) did the right thing and got rid of him. I don't like what he represents and it's disappointing that people have forgotten he attacked a women. Twice. Second time being pregnant. He is a low life and should of been banned from RL for good. If the same people that stopped mason coming allowed even talk of lui coming back then the club is a joke.

Could not agree more!!!

So sick of people discussing the Lui's position as if it is only a football related matter and the fact that the Tigers struggled at the half-back position since he left is the only issue that needs to be considered when considering his return.

IF he turns his life around and shows everyone he's a changed a man, i.e doing a lot of work in the community and a lot of charity work, who are you or anyone else to deny him a chance at a comeback? In the NFL Michael Vick did things that arguably even more disgusting, but since his return hasn't put a foot out of place and is really turning his life around by being involved in communities and charities. It can be done. If Lui was to take the same road back id suggest you make your way off your high horse

Why are we even talking about Lui? The topic is for a big name player.
And a big name player is what we need, specifically a halfback. We spend too much money on role players (see Blair & Lote). **The big money should be going to people who steer the boat, not the passengers.** Thus, if we are getting Kite I hope we don't blow the remainder of our cap on him - we already have one grossly overpriced front rower thanks very much. Kite is a two dimensional front rower who would be a good addition but he is not a big name player.
PS: Thurston is.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact the only 2 seasons we've done anything since 05 was when he was halfback. Coincidence?

Would love to see Shaun Johnson get a gig here . I would even try benji at fullback and have my spine as
1\. Marshall
6.anasta
7\. Johnson
9 farah

benji couldn't tackle my grandmother so fullback would be a disaster

Lol and in those two seasons people were constantly calling for Lui's head and complaining incessantly about him the entire time.

Lol except for how fullbacks make about 4 tackles a game and five-eights and halfbacks make 20.

Also he would be one of the better tackling fullbacks tbh.

To be honest I do not want Anasta any where near the halves he is a shocking 5/8 and when he played halfback his team went down 54-12 or something so i would change that to

1\. Tedesco
6\. Marshall
7\. Johnson
9\. Farah
13\. Anasta

I think Anasta is a fine five-eighth. He was just scapegoated by the Roosters. I think Pearce is and always was the weak link at the Roosters. I haven't watched a Roosters game and thought "gee Anasta is bad." Not once.

lol wow. Just when you think the Internet couldn't cough up anymore wacko's

Soooo it's wrong to look down on someone who has 2 times ( known) beat a women? I guess Im a jocky then cause to me this guy is a scumbag and the fact anyone would defend him is pathetic and weak…like lui.

But please, carry on and tell us why the club should risk him again if, and only if he reads to the blind. Like I said, pathetic. He had a chance to play footy at the top level but couldnt handle cruisers and beat a women...twice. He had his chances..plenty of kids with a good character to take his spot.

High horse lol, made me laugh.

Anyways it won't happen so we needn't worry.

**"Ms Backo told Burwood Local Court earlier today that Lui had kicked her in the temple and headbutted her on the night of the Tigers' "mad Monday" celebrations".\
\
"She said Lui had entered the apartment via a balcony, pushed her in the chest, then dragged her by her hair to a mattress where he kicked her a number of times"**

Have to agree with Tigerbalm, this is not someone I would want back playing for the team I support. I don't care how bloody well he combined with Benji, and he can do all the charity work he likes, what's that gonna prove? What Lui has done not once, but twice, stems from something so much deeper than just issues with alcohol and it cannot simply be rectified and swept aside by him doing good things for the community to make himself feel better. A whole mindset and attitude shift needs to take place. This could take years and even then there's no guarantee that it will ever change at all.

It's not so long ago that Sheens used to hide Benji in defense so he didn't have to tackle at all. Granted he's bulked up since then and stopped dislocating shoulders, but I still don't see him in a critical defensive role.

If parramamtta have really given a letter of intent isn't that against the. Rules don't they need to wait till November to make any approach ?

Don't worry it will be money well spent
