Green = Cry baby

Guarantee we would be whingeing about it - there's been plenty of people on here gripe about the refs and some of the decisions made. I still remember the Broncos golden point game last year - and they did admit fault afterwards so Green ha every right to be dirty - their disallowed try in the corner in the first half should have been a try as most pundits have agreed.

Maybe, but I'm a one eyed Tigers supporter. We have been on the short end all year with the "rub of the Green", so when we get a game that goes our way in that area, I have no sympathy for the opposition, just like they wouldn't for the WT.

@851 That's exactly what i was going to say.. The decoy runner changed his line before reaching brooks and got it wrong. (Brooks might of sold it a bit like they all do - even cowboys players) With that change it made Moses lean back inside a little which did change the defense structure . Would they of stopped the try - Don't think so but this has happened to us a few times this year and nothing is said..

Meh - best team definitely won on the night and the one bad call (obstruction) absolutely wouldn't have changed that.

Forward pass was 100% the right call. Obstruction I think was BS, when you stop it and to the letter of the law MAYBE a pen, but c'mon... I'd be filthy if that wasn't given for us.

Also Green, there were a couple of decisions that didn't go our way that should have - off the top of my head there was a grubber by Clifford or Morgan that a couple of Cowboys chasers were a meter offside on that pinned us in the corner.

@willow has Madge cried in the post game interview wash-up? He isn’t Cleary or Green and I’m clearly pretty happy about it. Don’t see how you’re backing up his pissweak excuse

I don't think anyone is questioning whether we were the better side ...we obviously were ....but he probably deserves as we all do ....an explanation why it was or wasn't it a try

@happy_tiger Absolutely he has the right. The call was shocking IMO.

But he was also suggestive in that it cost them the game, despite saying they should have moved on.

@Moh Guy is a flog and has done it 3 weeks in a row now, would you blame the referee’s if Maguire was a dud coach? Have we, collectively, blamed them when we should’ve

@Moh was dead in line with how they have ruled all year . Happy is a closet Cow 🐮lol

Exactly...we even had one when Thompson scored this year and Rowdy was done for obstruction in exactly the same way ..the defender would have had all the powers of the Justice League combined to stop Thompson from scoring but was denied that opportunity to exercise those powers..instead he fell over when hit by a feather..

Manly had one couple of weeks ago but I just lol@Manly..there have been a few..they decided to make that black n white as opposed to common sense as it was a few years back as opinion came into it to much and punters were blowing up deluxe that some were given and some not..

Have a sooky la la Greeny..

Let us hope Andrew Johns continues with his dissertations and theories concerning how we are going to lose each week and by how much. -or maybe it is his ghost writer who is a bad judge!

The ball is just reaching the player directly behind as contact is made, so has to be called back under the current interpretation.

Green should be looking internally for improvement. Cowboys were absolutely atrocious. Apart from terrible handling, they looked completely unmotivated. Apart from Taumolo and Drinkwater, they were outplayed 1-17. Their centres were terrible, wingers not much better. Granville looks done. Morgan was a complete liability in defence. I know they have had injuries but to be playing Hess in centres is just beyond ridiculous.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Green is gone seasons end.

When I saw that Paul Green was complaining about the referees - the first thing that came into my mind.

He wasn't happy, must be complaining about only being allowed to be offside for 70% of the game - he obviously wanted it to be 100% of the time.

Ssssheeeesh - they had more than the rub of the green, just were not good enough.

The COWS were offside for much of the match, yet the refs let it slide....suppose Green didn't worry about that

After looking at a replay of the obstruction call, at first I thought the cows got a dud call but the runner changed his line and got to his outside shoulder.
Even though Brooks had no chance, but they're the rules and if they want to be consistent then they got it right.

Correct call, NO TRY Greenie

these commentators banging on about how wrong the ruling was are completely misguided. Firstly it was clearly a forward pass....no question and no further discussion entered into. Secondly it doesnt matter if brooks wouldn't have influenced the play...thats not the rule. If the lead runner goes to outside shoulder it is obstruction plain as day.

At first I thought it was a dud call against the Cows (I mentioned it in the live thread) but watching it again he changes his line and runs at Brooks outside shoulder, yes Brooks acted it up and the contact was weak but you can't run at outside shoulders in that situation.

No try was the only call if they want to be consistent with that obstruction rule.

Watch it again and you might change your mind, watch the runner change direction, that's what cost him.

Haha. Score wasn't a reflection of the game.... please. The cowboys were terrible. There were some tough calls, but the cowboys were lucky they weren't dusted by 40. Green should be dropped for playing Hess in the centres.

I'm suprised that we didn't run at him all night or bomb to his side? We kept at Feldt all night and he's a good winger....
