Moses Henriques in the Test squad ….

Would prefer North or Cutting for starters

Moses has age on his side compared to North while also being a quick bowling option.
Cutting could have been the other option but Henriques I feel is in better bowling form while being a batsman first. Cutting has hit the ball well in the Big Bash while struggling with the ball. It's unfortunate that the only form we have is Big Bash form.
I expect Doolan is sitting pretty happy now. He's 2 main rivals for a test debut now have injury clouds with one already replaced.

I don't know Peaches maybe its just my Qlder perception , but every time we seem unsure who to pick we just seem to pick a NSW player

They've been picking Tassie blokes of late hahaha
I think it's because NSW has a lot of young talent and let's them play. A lot of other players go to other states (Hughes, Khawaja, Christian, Hastings, Bird, Silk just to name a few off the top of my head). There are plenty that come out of NSW.
Other states don't seem to pick older players or the younger players are just a bit unlucky with form and injury when selection comes around (Ferguson, Burns, Lynn).

Quite a good 20/20 match. Plenty of boundaries and sizes.
Good form from Cam White not surprisingly.

just from jeff fenech's famous "i love youse all"

I use youse fairly often. Is it considered a dictionary word or a slang word?

sorry peaches, was having a bit of dig at ya mate. and having a pompous moment.
ftr, youse is very australian slang, and im sure not the queens english, but it does seem to have made the dictionary so i apologise.

anyway, on another note, i saw an article on foxsports about commentators the other day and shane warne rated quite well. not sure about other opinions, but he just irritates me to tears! he is so self absorbed and his "humour" to me seems constantly cynical and a little mean spirited.

after the first ashes test in the uk, i really thought ashton agar would be a certainty for the one day, or maybe even t20s sides for australia, but he has just vanished into oblivion?!

could become the proverbial flash in the pan?

If he turns the ball a little more and develops some variation he'd fair a little better in selectors calculations.

yeh, from memory he didnt get many wickets in that match did he? and he is a bowler after all!

Another white wash for this Australian squad.
They are playing superb cricket in all three forms. Only game they lost happened when our four best batsmen had a day off. Attrocious tour from the poms. Long flight home tonight LOL…

Agreed. Let's hope they keep up this top cricket in South Africa.

Apart from Broad and Stokes not too many could hold their heads up coming through Heathrow Airport when the press devour them

England checked out of this tour a long time ago. There is something wrong with that camp, take a look at some of their guys playing in the big bash, Wright, Lumb and Hales are all playing well for their respective franchises, yet they play for the national team and deliver little. In the shorter form of the game Bopara, Morgan and Butler have stepped it up, but aside from them Broad and Stokes are the only ones worth feeding (although I think Cook has did an admirable job fronting up to the media after some shocking performances).

I think you can see the difference confidence and momentum makes to two squads.
