It's Official…the Ch. 9 commentary team suk..

KP makes me want to break the tele...

Yeah it has hit an all-time low now. Clarke, Warne, Slater, Tubby and that pommy blouse Nicholas are as boring and personality-less as it gets. Thank god for Chappell.
And to top it off they get a pseudo Pom posing as a South African to try and give SA some representation.
Jim Maxwell they ain't.

Chapell?
That guy is the biggest dullard of them all. I reckon he could bore himself to death.

Not so much Chappell because of his personality, he would hardly be a person you would hope to be stranded on an island with, but more so because he is the last of the Ritchie, Tony, Bill and Chappell quartet that were the iconic commentary team.
Can't stand the way all these other brown-noses refer to each other by their full name every time…..."Fantastic bowling isn't it Sharne Warne?". "Sure is Michael Clarke, let's ask Michael Slater what he thinks" . "I'm with you Shane Warne, fantastic observation........Mark Taylor, how would you have played this bowler?". Makes me wanna defecate on the recliner.

Probably one of the best minds in Australian cricket

And the current commentators are just absolute crap , listen to ABC radio , bring back the Skull

Agree. Cricket is hardly brain surgery. The new batch of flogs are just embarrassing. Chappell at least comes from a time when cricket had personality and personalities within the game.
Kerry O'Keefe is a gem-is he still around the commentating caper?

Skull retired two years ago , is Jim Maxwell still commentating ?? I thought he retired after having a stroke on air at the Olympics

Chappell was talking 20/20 before it was a thought in the ICC's mind along with Tony Cozier and if you his read some of his books the man is a great , smart and inspirational leader / captain

I'll give you a an example , Jeff Thomson found out one of his closest mates had died in a freak boating accident during a tea break in Test Match

Chappell decided to give the ball to Thomson straight after the tea and Rod Marsh claimed it was the fastest ,accurate and most dangerous spell Thommo ever produced while he kept wicket

I know if I'd been captain it wouldn't have been the first idea to come to my mind unless he had come out and asked for the ball

On the actual cricket I reckon the Saffas will bat as long as possible tomorrow being short a bowler , we won't see any declarations unless they bat through two sessions

Yeah FTB i agree about the full name thing. Drives me up the wall. Gotta say though it is just as bad in the footy. Sterlo is a shocker for it.

Is David Warner's advert for Oled TV's quite possibly a contender for most embarrassing and cringeworthy ad ever? My god. It's a doozy.

Steve Smith is the worst. No personality whatsoever in commercials.

"Winter…...is not coming". That one? His demeanor was supposed to be like that in that one though I'd reckon.

Australian cricketers meet stupidity , stupidity meet Australian cricketers

Trying to bat ourselves to saving a Test Match and Warner runs himself out

Smart state not

I remember the one last summer where the mother won the day of pampering. He had the personality of a piece of cardboard.

Just got lapped by a side missing their top batsmen and top bowler at home on a ground that we could doctor to suit us

All we need is a rebel tour and 1985 here we come , this team sucks

Rabada is going to be something special, only 21\. That was a big win for SA, from not having AB, to being 4/30, then losing Steyn, and still winning by 177 runs. Underlines just how much of a quagmire the Aussies are in. Not sure there's a quick fix. Its going to be a blood bath when they go to India. India could beat them inside 2 days.

So true, SA had plenty of excuses if they had lost, but as always they dug deep. Been a while since I have Seen our mob show some real character. I suppose fore years thy always had players like Gilly and Warnie to dig them out of holes.

The sad thing is there is no young kids around banging on the door to inject some enthusiasm into he team

Funnily enough a few ago we were talking about how the "Skull" was missed from the commentary

He returns on MMM and will call the upcoming series as well as next years Ashes series

Worked out OK for Rogers, Hussey and Katich. Pretty sure they were all into their 30's when they first lined up in the creams.
