Notable Exclusions: Ben Dunk, Ben Laughlin, Marcus Stoinis, Chris Green, Fawed Ahmed, Mitchell Johnson, Sean Abbott, Dan Christian, Ben Dwarshius, Mark Steketee, Darcy Short, Tom Cooper, Daniel Hughes, Ben McDerMott, Scott Boland,

That's a pretty long list. A few of of those guys are nowhere near good enough.
Don't think Dwarshius or Green would consider themselves hard done by.

Smith and S Marsh rack up tons retired V India A in Mumbai..

Meanwhile back in Aus..Dickwalla pounds us to all parts as Sri Lanka take a 1-0 series lead in the T20…

I still don't know why Head & Zampa aren't in India.

Zampa: 2/26, Economy 6.5
Head: 31, Strike Rate 124\. (Did not bowl)

I definitely would've taken these 2 players to India.

Also well done to Michael Klinger for making his debut for Australia, he fully deserved and was our second highest run-scorer.

Because you're judging them on 20/20 form. It's no comparison to playing India in India. Its a different universe.

Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bat

Ashwin: 15 overs, 6 maidens, 21 runs, economy 1.4

What happened to Renshaw ??

Went off ill when Warner was dismissed

Probably thought we were declaring

More than enough runs v India in India ??

Leave your death riding for Wests Tigers please…

This pitch looks like it belongs at Crest No 2...

Leaving Khawaja out is a boneheaded decision.
That bloke cops a raw deal at the selection table a lot, whilst the Marsh's just waltz in whenever they feel like it.

You never know how they are going in the nets, how their bodies are coping, where their confidence is etc.

I think Marsh was always going to play because of his recent form, and also his record in Asia.

S Marsh was always going to play, the only way for Khawaja to play is instead of Renshaw or possibly M Marsh (except that would leave us down a bowler). I would rather Renshaw over Khawaja IMO

Anyway lets cheer on the Aussie team and leave selecting the xi to the selectors.

The Marsh brothers recieve favouritism. They are average players at this level. If you trust the selectors than more fool you, they consistently get it wrong.
