Still not convinced with Harris though or even Khawaja , both out to bad shots

Khawaja our to poor shots all season. Harris at least has shown some mettle throughout the summer.

Khawaja is a class act but he's hopelessly out of touch. I thought he was a lock to bat 3 in England but probably not now. Burns has probably moved in front of Harris. Renshaw looks like he'll playing county cricket. As it stands I'd go for:

Warner
Burns
Smith
Head
Patterson
Pukovski
Wade/Paine

Keepers bat 7\. I believe it's in the Bible somewhere…

Haha - tell that to Wayne Philips!! Wade won’t displace Paine so 7 is out. But he’s good enough to bat 6 imo.

Having said that, it won’t happen. Don’t know why.

I’m guessing our batting has been so bad there’s little choice but if he has made enemies you may be right

You have to question the selectors. Burns has been one of the highest run scorers in shield cricket for the last couple of years, and his for at test level before being dropped was fairly good.

It would have been better to see Burns against a quality bowling attack rather than Finch & S Marsh

With the way England are going against the Windies, it looks like this is the best chance the Aussies will ever have of breaking the drought over there. As terrible as the Aussie batting has been, England’s has arguably been worse. It’s good for the Aussies they have had some batsmen finding form, but it’s still only Sri Lanka, who provide about as much of a challenge as Sheffield Shield teams. I still wouldn’t be convinced they are going to over and conqour England based on this Sri Lankan series.
