How many times is the bloke going to give himself out same way same bowler, what an embarrassment. As bad as Atherton trying to play McGrath, except Pigeon was twice the bowler Stuart Broad is.
4 more, bcoz I highly doubt they will drop him while we are winning.

David Warner has taken aim at his Ashes nemesis Stuart Broad, suggesting he won’t be the force who ruined the opening batsman’s 2019 tour this time around.

“He’s got to get selected first,” Warner told this masthead as the Australians continued their preparations for the World Test Championship final in London on Wednesday.

He has played his last game surely.
Just cannot be trusted to see off the new ball and allow our star batsmen to settle in and create big platforms.

Every good batsman has bad spells at the crease but the vast majority of them find form again,sometimes it is only a very minor adjustment in what they do to bring it back
He is not getting the three or four chances a innings that he was getting regularly in the past

Smith, Marnus giving their wickets away. Marnus has really struggled of late.
These two are really starting to annoy me. Marnus more than Smith.
When the going is good they’ll pile the runs on but doing it when the pressure is immense and the game flow is against you is when it really counts.
They both shit themselves in the first test run chase leaving our bowlers to do their jobs.
They both got starts but didn’t go on with them in the second innings of the 2nd test, resulting in Lyon feeling he had to contribute some runs with a torn calf.
They both contributed nothing in this third test when we needed them to dig in and get us runs in each innings. Once again, if we are to win, it won’t be due to them.

Marnus = < 150 from 6 digs
Smith = < 200 from 6 digs despite a century

Not good enough from our world rated stars.

Well, 251 is a milestone.
Doubt it’s enough.
Their batsmen have only fired once this series as a unit.
I expect they’ll click on day 4 and win this test.
Our top order should attract criticism. They have been poor.

We needed another 100 runs and probably more. Pom’s will win in a canter. Warner, Smith and Lube-Change made little contribution and that is a concern moving forward. I would certainly drop Warner for the fourth test and give Renshaw another crack.

Yeah the top order bar Uzi has struggled but the probs start at the very top. Warner is a lead weight and adds pressure down the line as Broad’s Bunny. He needs to be dropped asap and replaced with who ever they reckon is next up and stick with him if that’s Renshaw or Harris?
The other bloke I’m a bit surprised about is Boland, I thought he would have been amongst the wickets over there but he’s been carted.
If we can hold all our chances and win this.
Hopefully we have come up with a better plan for Stokes, instead of this plan of giving him 6ers.

I thought maybe just a change of batting order might be worth a try.
Head to open, Warner to 6, or is that too simple ?
Simple enough explanation is that Travis Head isn't a test opener and David Warner isn't a middle order batsmen (and is plainly just out of form/past it).

Also: Head is in the form of his life and playing consistently brilliant knocks, why disrupt that?

There are two openers (literally the hardest specialist batting role in test match cricket) already over there in the squad sat there watching all of this unfold.

Certainly would leave Head where he is. Warner needs to be replaced and I would seriously give consideration to Nesser coming in for Boland. Nesser has been going great guns with bat and ball in county cricket.

And Nesser has done pretty well when called upon. Nothing wrong with Hazo either.

Would not drop Warner but move him to 3 and Marsh to open .Sorry greenie
Warner last chance . Neeser for Boland adds a bit of batting .
Thought Cummings 2 overs in Poms 2nd dig a bit poor all on leg stump line batsman love that .
