Cricket Season Thread

Keep in mind India are considerably under strength, playing on the least friendly pitch for them. Without any warm games, coming off a 3-0 loss on home soil.

Probably Cummings DEI woke personality has something to do with results.maybe they can bring back the knee and get some sympathy
 
Pretty poor from Australia so far. 2 days into a 5 test series though, I wouldnt draw a line through them there's still enough talent in that batting line up. I feel like at the end of this series we will be talking about how good this group of players are, or how the end is near...

The end is nigh ......very few replacements coming through to replace many 35+ year old cricketers
 
Finally Starc gets edge off Jaiswal but Kwajaja drops it !
2balls later Rahul should have been run out but wayward throw from Smith blows that chance
Starc and Hazelwood bowling well but not supported

You look through the shield and the young guys with promise like Kellaway, Goodwin, Konstas and Davies havent really kicked on yet and the "next man up" types like Renshaw, Maddinson are also very underwhelming. The current crop will stay until the end of the Ashes regardless of form unless this changes

Im not across the bowlers. I love Jye Richardson, he could be anything, but he can't seem to stay on the field

Well I rate Neser and Boland as the next men up in the bowling ranks .....Neser is 34 Boland is 35 ....the rest are too interested in white ball cricket
