You've misinterpreted me gunners, by no means was I trying to make them out to be Bangladesh rather that they are just a pissweak cricket nation considering their population, demographic etc.

LOL this is the most idiotic statement ever.
it's not about HOW many good players you can produce, you look at what the best 11 is in the country.

Working on your premise, India are still pathetic lol.

You're disillusioned if you think this series makes India good all of a sudden. 4-0 v England 2011, 4-0 v Australia 2012, 2-1 v England 2013, any of these results ring a bell? Beating a 2nd rate Aussie team reeling from the departure of 2 senior team members on pitches which they're unaccustomed to does not make India good!

Another pathetic crumbling efforts by the Aussies today. A positive they can take out if it is it surely can't get much worse.

Why do we always point the finger at everyone elses faults? Talking about how ''piss weak'' India are overseas, yet look how we go on their turf. Have only ever won one series there and they were lucky to win that series, as in one of the tests a cyclone hit on the 5th day when India were in a prime position which would have meant the series was drawn.

Throughout the yrs India have performed a hell of a lot better in Australia than Australia have in India

when did i say india were good or talked them up? i just found your statement stupid, that just because india has a lot of people and is a crazy cricket nation means they should have an A1 cricket team.

fyi india lost two of its most senior and well respected batsmen who mostly do well against the aussies.. laxman and dravid. not to mention, they have a guy on debut (kumar).
also, how was it a 2nd rate aussie line up? who were aussies missing? they have their 4 1st choice bowlers.. pattinson, siddle, lyon and starc/johnson. an opening pair of two years..watson and cowan.. domestic cricketer of the year.. hughes, player of the year.. clarke, 1st choice wicket keeper.. wade.

you're just trying to find excuses.

Overlooking the infrastructure that both countries have in place. For a government that puts more money into sport then it does health and education Australia would want to be pretty damn good.

On the other hand India is practically 3rd world

The BCCI is the most powerful body in world cricket, I think I read somewhere that it generates 3/4 of the revenue in world cricket. That along with the passion people have for cricket in India, politically millions or even billions of dollars would also be poured into cricket from the government.

Do India really need 2 days to bowl Australia out.

Imagine our side without Clarke.

England must be licking their hands with our current team to contest them against the Ashes.

You haven't watched the first day and a half of the NZ v England test

Poms were woeful with the bat and looked like peashooters with the ball

Things may have turned around since ??

Essay writing should certainly sharpen the boys up for the coming tests.
Bit rough dropping the 4 lads who didn't get their tomes in on time. Word from the camp is that Phil Hughes was hogging the crayons.

Does 'CA' stand for 'Circus Australia'?

Yeah agree Glen Maybe take half of their match payment sure

But leave them off the selection table :unamused:

Like you've got heaps to choose from in the first place Arthur

Maybe Potter should attempt the same move , but then again it would be fairly simple

1 Show up

2 Show some Accountability

3 Tackle

4 Hold the ball

This is an out and out joke.

Call me a radical, but given the performances of the team of late, these blokes should be in the nets, not writing essays on their value to the team.

You'd think so. Johnson and Khawaja didn't even play in the test so I'm not sure what the hell Arthur was hoping to get from them… An essay on how the cordial was mixed incorrectly for the drinks? He's gone troppo - if he hasn't lost the respect of the team he's fast on the way to doing so. I hear Shane Watson had a hissyfit and is coming home.

Judging by the article his wife is not far off giving birth, so I'd assume he'd be home after the Third Test anyway.

I don't blame Khawaja for not doing it… He's not even looked like getting close to getting a start so obviously his non-submission accurately reflects his supposed value to the team.

I'd say Arthur & Pup have lost the dressing room….or half of it.

Clarke sounds like he speaks for CA rather than the team....rock & a hard place I know but he has had plenty of personality clashes in the past....he's lucky he's killing it with the bat

There has to be more to it then just this.

In saying that, all the players had to do was email or text 3 points to the coach, it would of taken them two minutes to do tops. By them not even bothering to take 2 minutes of their time to do that shows a certain amount of laziness, lack of accountability and a level of disrespect to the coach.

Suspending the players seems harsh but from what I have read, there were a few things prior and this broke the camel's back.

Still a massive over reaction by Mickey Arthur

I wonder how Arthur would of felt if he was dumped for failing to clean the kit bags or something as petty as that

It wouldn't have changed their mind set and we sure as hell wouldn't have won the next Test

From viewing some other international players thoughts , we are the laughing stock of international cricket and to top it off we have possibly forced one of our batsman who could play a major role in our future

We've been the laughing stock of international cricket for a while now, with a team full of "blokes" who care more about their hairstyle than what they are actually been paid bloody good money to do.

These guys are just like our swim team, they need to stop believing what they constantly read in the twittersphere and start to realise that they are damned lucky to be playing for their country.

There was once a time when men played cricket for their country for nothing…these guys are prima-donnas, kuwahja has been trying to break into the team properly for three years and when he finally gets the chance he can't even spend five minutes to repsond to an email.

What's Khawaja supposed to say? "I bring this, that and the other to the team… Oh wait... No I don't, because you bastards won't give me a fair go?" I don't blame him for his non-submission, it reciprocates the complete lack of respect shown towards him. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he continues to be snubbed that we see him line up for Pakistan.

This email should have been sent:
RE: Team Performance - Thoughts?
Usman to Mickey Arthur

Hi Mickey

Thanks for the chance to air my thoughts. Great to have a chance to do anything on this tour other than pretend the guys are doing well and offer encouragement.

Reasons for poor team performance? First thing that springs to mind is completely shit batting and disrespect for the conditions. FFS these aren't the SCG indoor nets. Play what's in front of you, not what you imagine when you're lying in bed with your hand on it. It's called 'Test Cricket' for a reason. Apply yourself dammit!
The second thing that comes to mind is how soft our 'men' are. You can't look at a bloke in this team sideways without him pulling a hamstring. Honestly, our top 6 would get roughed up by a group of accountants.

Ideas for Improvement? Pick me.

That's all I have.
Usman
