Cricket Season Thread

This is why test cricket will never die 5 days slogging it out and all it comes down too is 20 runs or one wicket, still think the poms are going to break our hearts they make a habit of it lately.

england are the biggest chokers in world cricket i've eveer seen.

possibly in any sport ever

they have a habit of losing from the most impossible of situation

How many Test Matches have we lost in last 30 years by twenty runs or less PRmz

I can think of at least 8

If only our top 6 could take a leaf out of our tail's book…

That or Broad could've been given out.

Ifs and buts...

anderson was head and shoulders above any bowler or even a batsman.

watta champion.

hughes might have secured a spot in the team with that knock, but i doube he will make it to the end of the series imo.

rogers, watson and khwaja- these three should make the top 3 in around game 3… in what order, im not sure though.

michael clarke needs to be no.5\. he seems to play the best there and hopefully we can sort the top order out real soon.

if not the 2nd mathc, the 3rd match should have the following line up

1\. rogers
2\. watson
3\. khawaja
4\. hughes/warner (depending on hughe's form)
5\. clarke
6\. smith/faulkner (depending on pitch and form)
7\. haddin
8\. agar
9\. pattison
10\. siddle
11\. starc/north (depeding on pitch)

Disappointing. The better side won but I didnt think they were great either….certainly better but we really could and probably should have taken that test on that wicket. We rolled them for just on 200 in the first innings and then batted like a bunch of trumped up 20/20 jerkoffs. Took an amazing effort from a 19yo number 11 on debut to make this game last past 3 days.

Aleem Dar was disgraceful. One of the worst umpiring efforts I have seen. I hope we have finally put this bloke behind us. He has been useless for many years.

The top 6 need to get their stuff together and realise they are TEST batsmen. Personally, the only 2 I think belong in the top 6 are Watson and Clarke. The other 4 wouldnt make most Australian test sides from the past 20 years...anyway they must be the best on offer at the moment so time to regroup and get ready for Lords in 4 days. Lots of work to do.

Cowan has to go. He's 31 and just not doing enough. England know he's a cheap wicket. He is also a problem runner between the wickets. Khawaja would be a better option for me.

Is Khawaja really the answer though? From what I have seen he is only a smidge above average. Same with Hughes. Same with Warner. Just dont get peoples fascination with them. None of them are test batsmen.
