I think Bailey will go and play. He's an experienced player and is strong in the other forms so while we're winning he'll be alright. Faulkner doesn't bat well enough to be a test 6 or 7 for me.

Don't get me wrong, Bailey will go to SA. Does he deserve it though? I don't particularly think so. But after this series drubbing, I doubt they'll change a winning side. The Proteas will expose him (and much of our batting order.)

**Our batting has improved** and we'll expose them just as much as we are exposed. I think he could do with another opportunity. Especially with no easy and direct replacement.

6/132
5/142
204 a/o
5/97

Those scores all say otherwise. Its easy to come out and demolish an attack when you are 160 runs ahead in the second innings., The Aussie bowlers won this series, and, to an extent the English gutlessness in their batting handed the series to the Aussies on a silver platter. The success the bowlers had, totally took the attention off the weakness in the batting, the first innings scores where the top order failed highlight that. If they don't improve in their batting SA will wipe the floor with them and i don't think the Aussie bowlers will be able to save them like they did this series. The batsmen need to carry their load. And by batsmen i mean the top order, cos i can't see 5/120 turning into 400 against Steyn and co.

Yep it happened

What about the Aussies

Amazing finish to the game Need 25 off 10 with one wicket in hand and win it with 3 balls to spare

Faulkner , you bloody beauty

LOL POms

amazing finish

If they weren't already mentally broken ,that would of finally broken them

Wonder if they will be tempted in their next Test series to give Morgan a run at 6 and the young all rounder at 7

Was at the game last night. People claim the ODI scene is dying. Not from my experience. What a game of cricket! The Poms were having a red hot go, the crowd was loud and Maxwell and Faulkner stood up. Superb finish from Faulkner…though he had blown it but was just getting his eye in for the last dash. Very mature, yet dynamic run chase from him.

Exciting stuff.

It reminded of Michael Bevan in a sense , you thought he had it wrong and was taking the wrong option by refusing to take the singles at the start of the 49th over but he had it spot on

People seem to want to death ride the ODI. But you couldn't go from 20/20 to test match cricket. There has to be a happy medium and the ODI can throw up spectacles like last night. Some are decided early in the run chase but others are never quite dead. Awesome performance by Faulkner and Maxwell.

I'm going to the Sydney ODI match later today. My mates decided to do a dress-up so if you see The Village People, I'll be the biker.

Hahaha. I may have to get a few more wears out of it now haha. My Indian, construction worker and cowboy mates I know got on tv. I was with an army bloke and apparently on tv when my mate in a banana suit also jumped in but we aren't sure whether we made it. It was a pretty good day though. Stopped at all 5 pubs on the way up from central station for a scotch or two. And we made a really long beer cup snake that stretched the whole bay too hahaha.
It was a convincing win by the Aussies. Hardly troubled after the start and they never let the Poms get away from them.

Mitch Johnson is the winner of the Allan Border Medal. Outside Haddin and Clarke I thought he was the only one likely to get it.
Michael Clarke the Test player of the year.
George Bailey the ODI player of the year.
Aaron Finch the 20/20 player of the year.
Jordan Silk the Young cricketer of the year.
Cameron White the State player of the year.
Belinda Clark and Mark Waugh into the Hall of Fame.
Meg Lanning won the Belinda Clark award for female player of the year.

Shaun Marsh: 85 First Class games for 8 centuries and an average of 35
Since being dropped from the Test side after the home series v India (in which he scored 17 runs in 6 innings at 2.83) he has scored 1 century and this summer averages 34.37\. 1 first class century in 2 seasons.

And he gets a Test call up. Based on that.

He is a koala.

Haddin must be feeling vastly underrated this morning

He was on of our best in England and has been close to our best again back in Australia

What would be the easiest way to see who are the Hall of Fame players so far picked for the Allan Border Medal

Mark Waugh is a very good cricketer and one of my favourites to watch , but I would of thought there would be a few I'd have picked before him

Rubbish hey? I'd have a tried and proven failure in Hughes or North before Darsh.
