No ....you've spent far too much time sobbing in the paint shed

Luckily it's cheapskate Tuesday .....you can drown your sorrows in that

Always nice to beat the Poms, but early days. Has to remembered we had both India and South Africa down one nil away only to get our nose rubbed in it. Be interesting what fast bowlers we use at Lords. I would think Starc must be a real chance but at who expense

Siddle

@Tiger_Steve Cummin, Starc and Patto could be a mistake. you need someone to tighten things up and build pressure. Siddle was unlucky to not get wickets but he was always at the stumps and was a different type of bowler than the others. Hazelwood (like Siddle) can bowl tight as well. Siddle can bat a bit as well.
Either Siddle or Hazzelwood should be picked as that stump to stump type bowler. Always works well in England.
Then you can only pick two out of Cummins, Starc and Patto.

Siddle is a frugal and safe bowler, but if you want stump to stump who can take wickets on the regular with a bit of pace, Hazlewood is definitely a better bowler, if you want another pace weapon go for Starc.

Pattinson is safe for mine.

I thought Siddle was great in both innings..looked very threatening

Pattinson out for Starc...

The booing from English fans has been excessive. Now they can boo the fact they’ll soon be 0-1 in the series.
Could even say they can’t win when you don’t count 4’s as a victory method!

They cheated there way to win the world cup...... sooo we deserve the win

So if that is the thinking (and I like it) it’s a dilemma as I think Starc will be good at Lords

@Tiger_Steve
Tough decisions for the Aussie selectors. Cummins is the No.1 ranked bowler in the World. He is a walk up starter. I think Starc will be chosen for Lords. As it’s looks like the Aussies have a horses for courses policy.
Poms stuffed up there bowling selections by choosing Anderson back from injury without playing a game. As Geo would say they looked desperate.
A bowler down and their spinner out of form really hurt them.

Its pretty simple , it will come down to what the Lords test track will throw up

But a hard call to drop a bowler when you win by 251

Our openers .....

@happy_tiger I’d image the Poms will want a green top. Where the ball nibbles around. They don’t have a good record against us on flat wickets. Particularly against Steve Smith.

Problems with green tops is you might lose the toss ....and then the best time to bat on them is usually day 3 or 4 .....
