yeh not into the whole take the knee stuff anymore.

if i donate $1000 but refuse to take the knee, will i get kicked out of the team too.

i watch sports to watch sports, not for a political movement- no matter how right.

My only issue is why now all of a sudden? It was the same when all the Indigenous players made a big deal of not singing the anthem. It was no issue for them until the big movement in the US started Then all of a sudden they act like it’s an original concept. Similar thing happened recently with The Rolling Stones who were forced to remove Brown Sugar from their setlist cos of racial connotations. The song is 50 years old for Gods sake. People only just now have a problem with it? Then there’s the whole Apu/Simpsons rubbish too. Could go on, but I don’t have the energy.

Getting back to the actual cricket.

I caught a bit of the Shield Game between NSW and Victoria at Drummoyne Oval this afternoon.

Victoria ended up with just under 200 on a greenish deck. Sean Abbott did exceptionally well early for NSW with the ball and ended up with 6 for not too many. He was ably supported by the young leggy Tanveer Sangha who has a huge future.

I'll wander down tomorrow and see how the Blues batting goes. NSW 2/43 at stumps.

Nice, I love watching at smaller suburban grounds (spoiled with Allan Border field here).

Think I’ve seen Sangha in the BBL IIRC?

Lol why should a South African be forced to support an American political movement? Ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as seeing a bunch of white cricketers making black power fists.

And now there's a bunch of pelicans carrying on like this is some kind of hate crime atrocity.

Either that or he is incredibly lacking in perspective

Or maybe he is bang on in his perspective. For the last few decades South Africans have been trying to move away from looking at everything through a racial lens, they know better than anyone where that leads. On the other hand Americans are now absolutely obsessed with race, they've gone nuts about it, they think it defines everything, performing solemn racial rituals is their new happy clapper religion. It's a game of cricket ffs, they don't need mandated racial rituals before it.

Havent bowled a cricket ball since last season

Tried to see if i could remember how to wrist spin at the nets a few days ago...yeaaa lets say it didnt go to well😅😅

I guess until De Kock explains why he didn't take a knee ...we will never know

But the BBL franchise that already started trying to negotiate a deal ......back to the swamp thanks ....

Saw some highlights of the win v Sri Lanka ..we batted well ...Sri Lankans bowling wasn't great ....game turned on the catch dropped off Warner ....looked like the keeper was literally going to throw the ball in the air to appeal and he dropped it ...umpires finger was even on the way up and withdrawn ....

Yes the batting was very good
Enjoyable game to watch...we would of struggled to win if warner got out on that dropped regulation catch imo

Hopefully his form is maintained

Zampa was rightly MOM 2 for 12 bowling leggies off four overs is a mighty effort. Had a very close LBW turned down .Bit of a worry how easy they are getting to our other bowlers bar Hazel.

Still think we are behind the Poms and India, also you never know what our Pakistani’s will deliver.

Great bowler, great gully fielders and handy with the bat. Also quality jurno.
RIP Rowdy

Another champion passed away, the great Alan Davidson. Great bowler who could swing it a mile. Absolute athlete in the field and no slouch with the bat. Also one of the real Mr Nice guys of Australian Cricket.
RIP Davo
