They forget it cos it’s not true.. They were still on the way to winning after his century.…and Labuschagne’s century. People just conveniently forget he did that.
I doubt anyone would have accepted not winning the series after going up 2-0.We retained the Ashes on enemy soil…so yes.
I won’t be fully satisfied but it is still a successful series.
Last ashes in Australia 4-0 to us .Poms think that they got a draw in Sydney but they were 9 down miles short on runs and a day and a half lost to rain .Only due to the rain the last two days in Manchester
Harp all you want. I don’t care.Last ashes in Australia 4-0 to us .Poms think that they got a draw in Sydney but they were 9 down miles short on runs and a day and a half lost to rain .
Don't hear us harping on we really should have 5 -0
Selective memory
I'm the same all the harping on about Barstow-I don't careHarp all you want. I don’t care.
Come on Murphy.
I like Starc bowling in tandem with a spinner.
Looks a bit cloudy at the moment.
Has anyone checked the forecast?
So no drops then? It's a bright and surprisingly sunny London day with clear skies and no clouds in sight.
Oh, there's also a certainty of continued Pommy Bazball and poor Aussie fielding placements. 😉
Labuschagne gets out after one of the worst innings I've seen by an Aussie 9 off 82 balls
Lords test V Saffers last year. They have an inform and overall a great batting lineup atm. As soon as a couple of them get into a lean spell (which will happen) they’ll lose pretty spectacularly.
They just showed a 1976 pic of the field or paddock on the tube, did ya see that, and do you remember much of it effecting game outcomes. I’ve never seen an outfield that bad, looked like someone dumped a pile of sand all over except the pitch. My company transferred me to San Francisco in 1972 and then to UK 1973 -1976
Went to a couple of Aussie games in the inaugural One day World Cup in 1975
First vs Pakistan in Headingly and Second the final we played Windies at Lords
Was 60 overs each in those days .
We would have won final except for 5 run-outs. Viv Richards and Clive Lloyd kept throwing down the stumps. Apart from Lillie and Thommo we had a swing bowler Garry Gilmore a bit like Massie
