Great response by Boland and Hoggett. Starc the rock but needed support and after some soul searching overnight the other quicks delivered. That’s teamwork.
And sending Head in at opener to knock the top of the total means tomorrow becomes a much easier exercise.
Not sure how they’ve done it but looking like a 1-0 lead after tomorrow.

Head just needs to keep playing his shots without silly risks. Still hard for new batsmen so we need him to score the bulk of the runs

It is a test. Batsmen these days just don’t have the technique.

Makes me laugh any talk about the pitch. No gremlins at all so far. It’s playing true. If anything it’s the outfield not letting 4’s be actual 4’s that’s the problem.

Well I don’t want to take the mantle of forum pessimist, but didn’t the Poms lose 9/105? That’s still open for us at this stage.
The only saving grace is this pitch should be getting to its peak for batting.
