Australia end the day at 326/8 against England in another exciting day at Adelaide.
Alex Carey and Usman Khawaja were the big stories on day one but England found ways to stay in the game.

Alex Carey lost his father Gordon Carey in September, 2025.

Months ago, he said, "Dad was my mate, my coach, my mentor."

Today, after his maiden Ashes

, he looks at the heavens to his dad, and points the bat towards his wife in front of his own home crowd in Adelaide.

His wife's emotional reaction says it all

This is where cricket becomes more than just a game.
