We've been rebuilding for 6 years now - But its all good…
2012 - 10th
2013 - 15th (2nd last)
2014 - 13th (4th last)
2015 - 15th (2nd last)
2016 - 15th (2nd last)
2017 - 15th (2nd last)
2018 - Top 6 - Off the back of Matalino and Packer Suli, Masters, & Reynolds will change it all..
One positive for next year is our State Cup team will be a top 6 team... Plenty of depth with fringe 1st graders next year.

15th in 2016? Weren't we one point off the 8?

We have made the top 8 less than any other team in the NRL since our merger… But don't let the facts get in the way of your blind delusion. You keep telling yourself that we have been going ok.... We have signed some forwards who are good players but they arn't the type of players that turn a perennial failure of a team into a top 4 team.
When will the Tigers learn that to make the top 4 you need to buy the best players...
Suli, Marsters, Fonua, Zelezniak, Milne, Lolohea, & Thompson are in any top 8 team Reserve Graders..... I rate Suli but people on this board seem to think he will save us. For some reason the deluded masses on here think these signings will revolutionise the Tigers and lift us to a top 8 team.
We are yet to sign a State of Origin level game breaker in the backs.... Surely we will have the slowest backline in the NRL next year? But thats all good - The deluded have become so use to failure its just part of the parcel now. Don't worry about voicing your opinion - There is always next year as this year is just a "rebuilding" year.....
If this year is a "rebuilding" year why are we now still playing Woods, Tedesco, Seumanufagai, & Naiqama. We once again have 0 chance of making the 8 so lets start blooding a few younger players. This season has been dead for weeks now yet we persist to play the players that the same deluded masses referred to as our "saviours" for years... Now they have left us... Wonder why????? Because we will be average at best for many years to come... Thats why.
The major difference between the Tigers fans and fans of teams that consistently make the 4 is that the tigers fans accept failure....

How many state of Origin players did we have in 2005?..we had a good spine but outside them our team were basically an ordinary pack it's not always about buying big names would you pay a million for Jarryd Hayne? "N0 THANK YOU"..the Titans can keep him …why are we still playing Woods, Teddy and Seumanufagai?..because it's still about competing with your best pack for your fans, sponsors etc , have faith in Cleary, he got my man of the match today, great job to get the boys up after a narrow lost last week.

There is a key difference and it's coaching and off field financial strength. Cleary and Wests taking over are big steps in the right direction. Look at the Sharks they were battling for a decade.
Our recruitment and development has not been that bad over the last 6 years: Fifita, Teo, Tapau, Austin, Koro, JAC, Ted, Brooks, Moses, Brooks, Nofa etc. the issue was our coaching and off field setup including retention.
You can't recruit origin players until you are a contender or have corporate TPA support.

Hey ed..
Iam a passionate WTs fan since inception, what I accept is…
1.For years we had inhouse fighting and squabbling from 2 boards trying to act as one..
2.Squandering of money on players not worth the amount contracted for,but were part of the boys club that was rife within the club.
3.Poor management from CEOs through to football operations management...
4.Salary cap restrictions which are now almost resolved...
5.Ordinary first grade squads due to salary cap restrictions..
6.Coaches not being able to have class players to coach and having to make do with what they had,Mick Potter comes to mind and Jason Taylor to an extent..
7\. Injuries to first grade players for lengths of time on the sideline and not having enough depth to cover their positions adequately.

I absolutely do not accept failure due to poor management and player overpayments,we are in a very good position this year as far as stability and good management goes, this includes the hiring of a very talented coach who knows what is needed to bring this club into finals contention which may happen as soon as 2018....
What makes me different from other teams fans is......I DONT CARE ABOUT THE OTHER TEAMS AND FANS...WESTS TIGERS WILL BE A FORCE IN THE NR SOONER THAN LATER..

Sidenote ED...true fans and passionate supporters may get irate and angry at times but they stay loyal and support the team through good times and bad,we do not accepgt failure, but take our losses hard....

I'm with you TrueTiger, who really gives a rats about other clubs? Tigers is my club, always has been and always will be.

Following footy is a choice. If it brings you that much misery then maybe choose to follow something else. While it sucks to lose, and I hate it, I believe that better times are around the corner. Win or lose, they are my club and when we do start winning more often than not, man alive it's gonna be awesome!!!!

Oh no… Emotions are getting in the way of facts...
Im not on hear to argue emotions. Im only interested in the facts and the lack of recognition due to the head in the sand syndrome that results to people thinking these players, along with Curtis Rona will make us a top 8 team.
Curtis Rona will not turn us into a top 8 team...
None of these players are game breakers...

Well I suppose you got that off your chest.
So I guess you will be supporting who, next year?

None of these players are game breakers...

Let's just wait another thirteen or so months and then revisit this topic armed with the facts.

In the meantime, think we have a signed contract with Rona that includes a Force folding clause, so looking forward to his arrival.

Yes back on the topic ….. looking forward to his pending arrival.

Back to the thread…
Both parties are confident in their legal cases. Hearings will run from between five to 10 working days and a decision handed down the week after.

That means if the ARU wins, they will announce the demise of the Force in the week of the opening Bledisloe Cup match between the Wallabies and All Blacks in Sydney on August 19.

Really hope this works out, Rona would be a fantastic addition to the backline! Tall and fast, just what we need, the icing on the cake in the backs. Now for a couple more forwards.

Would have made the 8 if Simona didn't throw away a few games.
Think about how many we lost last year in golden point.

Ed is still bitter that Balmain aren't around any more. Loves laying the slipper into WT whenever he gets the chance.

You weren't Tigger from LU were you Ed?

Don't think Rona will be getting on the bus.

Reckon his club will be staying and Twiggy Forrest (Fortesque) is going to to put millions into the club.

He also has been picked as one of the rain on The Wallabies.

Pity our billionaire businessman isn't so forthcoming with the $s.

I'm not surprised our billionaire businessman isn't forthcoming with the way he has been treated, I wouldn't either.

Despite this, he is still tipping a fair bit into TPA's but I guess that is not good enough.
