D Day for Tigers Club

Balmain Tigers Leagues Club members will meet tomorrow night to decide and vote on the future development of the famous Tigers Club at Rozelle.

Members will be asked to support or reject a motion that seeks to ensure the future of the icon Tigers club with a redevelopment of the site which will require the temporary resiting of the club while the new construction takes place.

The club had eventually gained Leichhardt Council approval for the redevelopment after years of planning and development application but funding has dried up following the current financial crisis.

I'm actually a member of Balmain league and don't think I've got anything about this…

Don't think there is much question on how the vote will go. Another milestone more like it. They could have had my proxy to vote aye if they asked me.

I know this is a particularly negative post but if there's no investment money to invest in development does it really matter what the vote is?
