Daine Laurie #237

I would certainly not be sacking him. Fine him and make him put in community time. Why release him only for someone else to benefit? Bugger that.

I have less disdain for Laurie as he didn't appear to plaster it all over social media or anything, got caught up in the moment and got caught on camera. Our "captain" made public comments about Penrith this year and posted on social media about them.

Yeah I agree. it is poor form from Daine, but he is a kid, I can forgive him - I think it is much worse for Tamou, he's older and should know better, and he is the captain.

Crikey .. let the kid be .. like someone else said on here that he spent most of his football life playing with these guys .. he grow up with most of them. Is it a bad look, yes .. did he cut a team mates grass, no .. is he snorting a white powder substance, no ..

He'll be called in for a little chat, and slap on the wrist .. i believe he still lives out there as well .. should we sack because of that too .. ??

Mate, I live out here, I was giving a Rooster supporter mate a hard time yesterday because he headed down to Panthers on Sunday night to drive around in that mess and "soak it up". I just got a text from him and haven't opened it yet but I can guess what it is. It is an embarrassment to the club and its fans. It is unprofessional and disrespectful to our sponsors. I wouldn't sack him, but he would be in a lot of trouble.

This is not OK. I really like Laurie but he should be sacked for this.

How can we ever be taken seriously as a club if we cop the likes of this.

Imagine how it will be taken as a club if we sack a player for wearing a rival jersey that he played in 12 months ago.

We would be crucified

what's new? and so what?

This really shows the dna of the club being full of people that don't give a shit and treat it as such.

What if Pascoe was still a Panthers fan? would it be ok for him to dress in brown and go hang out with the players?

He was amongst those boys not even a year ago so shoot for him supporting. The jersey is a bit OTT but it’s not worth this amount of carry on.

Yeah and you can blame that on this team having zero culture and identity for over a decade. Like I said earlier, we are in no position to scrutinise players for this because we haven’t earned anyone’s respect and rightfully so

NO worries, so I wont be expecting any more Brooks posts from you, or criticism of Tamou?

Yeah it's poor. I don't see what we gain out of sacking him. Fine him and community service for the people of the areas the club represents.

Of course there is, but you don't wear a rivals jersey when you're contracted to another club.

We haven’t. Why would we ?

Because he is a professional Rugby League player getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to represent the Wests Tigers, by the Wests Tigers. That deserves respect. This isnt West Side Story.

They won't sack him but I wouldn't care if they did. I'm pretty annoyed tbh lol

Swapping jerseys after a game with a current club teammate is a little bit different...

but I still won't get offended - he is a kid and who hasn't done anything wrong here? ok he did it and it is wrong but all that is needed to be done is for him to be spoken to by the club... don't get angry over it... not worth your time... the club should talk to him and that's it and I am sure he will remember this.

lol. Troll.

Club has to nip this in the butt straight away. Can't have our players hanging around with winners. Some of our players might be inspired to be like the winners. Even tell teammates what they saw and what it looked like.
Better they sit by the pool drinking from a coconut...life is good.

That's where we disagree. I think he's dogged us with that, even worse than Tamou.
