Does anyone know for sure we have signed Daine Laurie for 2022 and not just the rumours..
Maybe I am just scarred but have a bad feeling another club will come in late and pouch on him from under our nose.. I would like us to sign him and even announce and then work on the 2021 early release.

I would think he could be released early as he is a development player and cannot play until round 16 anyway next year.. Unless they promote him but then he could decline that to force a release.. Unlikely to decline as that would also increase his salary and he sounds like a good guy.. Anyway a great start to the day... Well done to the recruitment team

I don’t think they’ll release him, there’s no benefit for penny to do that.

I think they would release Burton and keep him as cheaper and Dogs might give them an incentive.. Just good to see the club has announced it and other clubs cannot poach at the last min.. He will be a talent for us.

Panthers really should release him. He is not a vet demanding out. He is a kid who won't play and at 21 its an important year to develop.

Stefano was 19.

Laurie is 21 and it is unprofessional if they block his development at that age.

0 gain for them releasing him a year early. Can understand why they wouldn’t do it

He's only on a development contract at Panther's though which means not even they can use him till around round 16.

Doesn’t matter when he can play, they are entitled to want him to honour his contract. Bit like us with a certain player atm.

One thing I’ll give Phil Gould credit for with his time at Penrith he was never one to stand in the way of young talent getting opportunities else where.
