Daine Laurie #237

Maybe Daine could borrow Matto’s ‘How to kick stones for dummies’ book when JA is done with it.

Every other club releases players from their final year contract to take up another deal..Rabbits let Sirro go to the warriors today, yet no club releases player to join the Tigers.....???

Twal, Blore, Lolohea, Matterson, BJ Leilua, Luciano Leilua, Adam Doueihi, AJ Kapeoa off the top of my head say otherwise..

Guys stop crying about him not being released early. What if Dylan Edwards gets a season ending injury in pre-season? They need to keep him at least until round 1 is over.

Panthers really should release him. He is not a vet demanding out. He is a kid who won't play and at 21 its an important year to develop.

Stefano was 19.

Laurie is 21 and it is unprofessional if they block his development at that age.

0 gain for them releasing him a year early. Can understand why they wouldn’t do it

He's only on a development contract at Panther's though which means not even they can use him till around round 16.

And that's when they may need him. They have to look after themselves.

I thought that all development players had a year of top grade as part of those contract arrangements, so cannot understand why he would have to wait until then when his contract finishes next season?

Souths released Bayley Sironen a year early as he signed a long term deal with warriors, they didn’t want to stand in his way..... looks like some clubs are nice after all!

Souffs have never been nice since they started over 100 years ago.

Souffs may have been nice in 1908, but they started on a huge downward slide from 1909 onwards.

That’s how we do Development contracts (Tigers)
It’s up to the individual club how they choose to structure them

Is he fast???

Who's a well known player he could be compared to?

I’d say not as express as Dufty but with better ball skills, fast enough.

So we like Pascoe, Lee and Madge again?

Taking the 5th mate ......if they perform yes ...if they don't it's time to grab our pitchforks and march

You know how we roll

Madge may have just thrown his resignation back in the top drawer

I believe they would shift Staines back but I do get it, he’s cheap as chips and fills a roster spot, same scenario as Stefano. Another thing for PVL to look at.

Especially when Ivan The Terrible is involved.
